Flights operate daily from Auckland. There are no direct flights so duration depends on what airlines and routing you take.
Air: Croatia Airlines is the only carrier for domestic flights in Croatia. It is better to book in advance.
Bus: Relatively cheap the standard of Croatian bus services are high.
Car & Motorcycle: You’ll need a valid drivers license to hire a drive in Croatia.
Train: Cheaper and more comfortable than catching the bus. Although; trains do not run along the coast.
Boat: Ferries connect islands to the mainland and most operate year round – although are less frequent in the winter.
Dubrovnik: The pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is magical and majestic. Stunning beaches, marble streets and baroque buildings. Dubrovnik is a must destination.
Split: Home to UNESCO world Heritage Site, Diocletian’s Palace. Split is a transport port that connects Croatia to the Dalmatian Islands.
The varied landscapes of Croatia, lend themselves to three distinct climates.
The north is considered temperate and continental; cold winters and hot summers.
The mountain regions have a mountainous climate, while sunmers can be hot expect winter tempertatures to be bitterly cold with snowfall.
The coast has a Mediterranean climate, offering summers with sunshine and high temperates and cooler winters.
Peak season is July - August, you can expect temperates to be in the high 20's or in 30's along the coast. Although visiting anytime between May and October you can expect warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine.
