Istrian Stone House, with its rustic and authentic Istrian charm, was a great starting point to explore the Istrian Peninsula. My husband and my two children booked the entire home for a week in June. It was the perfect mixture of relaxation and sightseeing. It was well equipped with everything needed for an extended stay, as well as, a fabulous pool to enjoy the terrific weather. Bernard and Marion were superb hosts. We could not have asked for better travel advisors. They catered to our every need including beach and restaurant recommendations. We would, without a doubt, stay at Istrian Stone House again. Just a fantastic all around getaway!

The house is beautiful, stylish decorated and well equipped. The surrounding is fabulous. If you're looking for a peaceful place to stay, this house offers it to you. None of us missed anything in the house or garden. Istrian towns are within driving distance. We certainly recommend this house!

We travelled with our teenage daughter for a stay of two weeks in august 2012. The cottage is gorgeous with a beautiful garden and pool and a uniquely decorated interior. The pool is excellent and very clean and was well tended by our hosts who are in an adjacent house: they were extremely discreet and available if needed but otherwise remained out of the way and you would not know they are there. There are lots of places to sit in the garden and if you wanted you could spend the days relaxing by the pool with some good local restaurants nearby. As a base for seeing Istria the cottage is within an hours drive of most of the main attractions and the roads are quiet though the beaches got very busy at weekends. The weather was fantastic and we had one of the best holidays in years. Thanks to Bernard for being such an excellent host.

My wife and I took a 5 day arrangement in May in Istrian Stone House. It was the most beautiful and romantic getaway from reality of everyday life. This villa is simply perfect, all surrounded with exotic plants, small lakes with frogs and fish, an outdoor pool, and two great air-conditioned apartments. Bernard the owner is very nice and made our perfect stay even more comfortable.

I've spent 10 most relaxing day at the beautiful Istrian Stone House with my boyfriend and we were thrilled. Coming to Rocko polje after spending all the time in a city was a getaway that every person needs from time to time. Beautiful old house decorated with so much taste and care for the details makes this place along with a garden full of flowers and greenery perfect for relaxation and simple enjoy in life. And the pools come as a "cream on top" after a long day of sightseeing or taking walks. The kind host Bernard is always available if advice is needed for fine restaurants with authentic dishes or other interesting facts regarding places to visit as the house is perfectly located and you can go wherever you want. Definitely one of the best vacations for me and my boyfriend and we will be back for sure.

We had a lovely 11 day stay at the house. The pools and garden were lovely and Bernard was very helpful with information, restaurant advice and even booked someone to come to the house to treat my husbands bad back. You need to be prepared to drive to the main sights but roads were fine. House was well looked after and lots of towels. Plenty of space for teenagers to lounge around.

This was our first time in Croatia, this house we choose based on others reviews and that was right choice. Position of the house is perfect because it is in the center of Istria peninsula, so it is easy to reach any place in Istria within 30 minutes. We even manage two day trips, one to Slovenia (Postojna cave, Ljubljana) and second Venice. The house is really very old but it has all modern equipment. Around house is almost botanical garden, superb maintained, and in the middle is placed double pool with massage. Water was very warm and clean although it was May. Owner was very helpful and full of tips for our vacation plans, and very discrete. We will come back for sure.
