We recently spent three nights at this villa and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The owner could not have been more helpful or accommodating - from arranging for us to be picked up in Colombo and driven to the villa, to arranging our days out while we were there and our onward journey to our next hotel. We stayed in the Red Suite - very nice, spacious, with its own private terrace and a shared sitting room. The big rainforest shower was lovely, as was the big four-poster bed, turned down for us every night by one of the owner's very friendly and helpful staff. The villa has a lovely pool and a good gym, as well as offering massages, so we had plenty to occupy ourselves. The food was lovely - cooked to order at every meal - accompanied by a lovely selection of wine. The view from the villa is simply stunning.

From the moment you set foot at this villa you are in for a treat. Not only from the owner and his wonderful warm hearted staff, but the feeling of peace from this lovely Sri Lankan sanctuary. The grounds and villa are beautiful, as is the view from this hilltop paradise overlooking the cinnamon plantation. Staff are attentive but not intrusive, warm and friendly. The owner is on hand to arrange any plans you might have, down to the smallest detail, including sunshine and rain!!!! All rooms are tastefully furnished and contain everything you need, down to magnified mirror and delicious cinnamon scented toiletries. Only a hairdryer was missing, if you need one! but I'm sure the owner would fix that problem too. Massage and gym facilities available, along with hairdresser! We would also recommend the' Cinnamon Experience' offered on the premises. You wouldn't believe how delicious the lunch was spiked with cinnamon. Their chef was wonderful and suggested and prepared delicious menus for us. On our final night on our request, he prepared the most delicious fish dish for us. It was served in the garden surrounded by oil lamps, candlelight and stars. Perfect ! We certainly hope we get the opportunity to return to this villa and all the fantastic staff. Not forgetting the two dogs Ronny and Tommy! Fond, fond memories of a beautiful people and their country. Highly recommend for anyone in need for complete rest and utter relaxation.

The Villa is located on a hill about 15 minutes away from Unawatuna. When you go through the gate you will find an oasis of silence and beauty behind it. The arcitecture of this villa is amazing and the rooms are very comfortable (especially the bathroom is extraordinary). This accomodation is perfect for all travelers who want to have some relaxing and recovering days. The individuality that you will find there is unbelievable. + 5* spa area with a great masseur + Wonderful large infinity pool with great view over the landscape + Architecture of the house + Induviduality of the whole building. The only thing that has some little space for improving is the quality of the dinner. Many thanks to the host who is very friendly and helpful and tries everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Friends recommended this place as an ideal escape from the large tourist hotels and the traffic on the coast. The short trip by tuktuk through lush vegetation, tea and cinnamon plantations was an eye-opener in itself. The villa crowns a hillside, with breathtaking, panoranic views over the surrounding countryside and the sea. We were stunned by the impressive architecture and perfectly groomed gardens. The very charming owner showed us his suites, which are all individually and luxuriously furnished with tasteful 'objets d'art', rare photographs of old Ceylon and some wonderful lamps! Our excellent 3-course lunch was basically European but incorporated Sri Lankan spices such as cinnamon. The service was very attentive and professional. After lunch some members of our group visited the gym, while others took a dip in the ample (!) pool. We were served sundowner drinks (I can recommend the mojitos) whilst enjoying a majestic sunset. A perfect day, we have been to several luxury boutique hotels in Sri Lanka, but none are as lovely as this one!

My wife and I decided to spend two nights at this villa as it was referred to us by a friend and we absolutely adored the pictures. We had booked the Yellow suite but were upgraded to the Orange Suite as it was a bit further away from the main house and we had asked for privacy. We arrived a bit late but in time to witness one of the most amazing Sunsets I have ever seen. The Villa is on the top of a Cinnamon plantation and the western slope faces West and the sun sets over the Koggala Lake. Breathtaking!!! We just planted ourselves there and didn’t move. The Owner is a quirky fellow and will happily give you the grand tour. The place has all the facilities you could ever want (though we had no intention of going anywhere near the gym). The Chef came and spoke to us and took our dinner order. Stuffed chicken breast with a vegetable medley. Yummy! Marshmallow pudding and a nice glass of wine and we were in heaven. The next day while we were lazily ambling about, we stumbled upon what seemed like a small presentation going on and upon some investigation found that they have a Cinnamon Experience that they offer to in-house guests as well as walk-ins. We obviously wanted in on the action and got to spend a good hour with the regional Cinnamon expert and a vast encyclopedia on everything Cinnamon-ey. We got to watch them harvest Cinnamon and were invited to join but we claimed we were allergic to physical labor and begged off, though it looked a lot of fun. We had a Cinnamon infused lunch, with Cinnamon they had actually harvested from the property. Between the scrumptious food, lovely pool and amazing views, it was a pity we could only stay two nights before responsibilities beckoned up back to Colombo. This place is magnificent and so unlike the usual fare one comes to expect from a trip down South. Amazing! Hope to come back again someday.

We have been visiting this villa since it first opened and have always found proprietor to be the perfect host. He and his team always make us feel at home almost immediately. Situated on top of a hill within a working cinnamon plantation the villa has stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There is always a gentle breeze blowing which keeps the temperature comfortable even on the hottest of days. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and wild peacocks can often be seen in the grounds. It’s impossible to choose the most picturesque time of day. Early mornings are stunning as the early morning mists rise from the surrounding plantations and paddy fields while sunsets are equally glorious. Floating in the swimming pool at dusk is a particularly calming experience. It’s possible to visit this villa without staying overnight and the owner has just launched ‘The Cinnamon Experience’ where visitors can tour the cinnamon plantation, see a cinnamon peeling demonstration and then stay for lunch. A big thank you to the owner and his team for making this villa such a relaxing place to visit. We will be back again soon.

My husband and I planned on staying 4 nights at this villa, but after we arrived, we cancelled our other arrangements to spend the rest of our time there! You could not ask for a more private, relaxing accommodation than here. It is absolutely beautiful! True paradise!!! We stayed in the, "yellow room", it was beautifully decorated, spacious and airy! The grounds are immaculate and the view from the infinity pool is breathtaking!!! The owner was around to make sure we were satisfied with everything! The manager arranged excursions for us when we wanted to explore other area of Sri Lanka. The rest of the staff were absolutely amazing! The staff could not have been any more accommodating, they were very attentive without being overbearing. We have done quite a bit of traveling in our lives and I can truly say that this place was perfect! We would also recommend the, "cinnamon experience"! It is a lovely tutorial on how they cultivate cinnamon, it is completed right on the grounds of the villa! Lastly, the food! Every meal was prepared beautifully for us! The chef will take any dietary needs into consideration, as well as what your favorite meals are! Authentic, and delicious meals! The location of the villa is very close to several beautiful beaches, good for water activities and sun bathing! From here we were able to do excursions to Yala National Park, Mirissa for whale watching, and Galle. It is a great home base for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Southern Sri Lanka! You are doing yourself a disservice if you are in this area and do not stay at this place! Thank you so much to all of the staff for making our holiday so very special.
