We spend a week in June in Lotus Finca and have the sweetest memories of our stay. At Lotus Finca all possible has been done to create a relaxing and caring atmosphere for the guests, and it pays off. The outside area as well as the inside has been equipped to respond to all possible needs of the guests, during this full week stay we even did not had or should I say create, the opportunity to use all the different seating areas outside, nor did we use the very cosy “winter” sitting room since the weather was too good. Not only the equipment but also the decoration (inside and outside) has been done with much care and attention, far beyond of what you expect for a rental home. In reality, it even beats the looks on the pictures on the site (the amenities/details on the TA website match the house but do not mention the impressive BBQ and outside kitchen area). In search for some imperfections to share with you, I can only comment that the bathrooms are quite tiny, but ok, you have two of them (inside and outside) as well as a large inside jacuzzi room, so this is rather fussy fault-finding. The area were the house is located (near Alora) is maybe not to best location if you want to explore as much of Andalusia as possible or if you want exiting night life> However we made a few excellent trips to the nearby lakes (a paradise for hikers), Ronda, Puerto Banus and Marbella and it is difficult anyhow to tear yourself away from the house and it’s garden/pool area The owner Gabriel is very friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. So if you are looking for an idyllic location to have a nice rest from your hectic life, do not look further but go to Lotus Finca.

We are a family with a little baby. We enjoyed our holiday very much. Husband wanted to get a lot of hilly cycling, which he got plenty of in this area. Just 40 min from Malaga but we felt miles away from the super touristy coast and loved seeing a real Andalucia. We visited several fiestas in the area (in September), all of them are amazing but one of the best ones was the one in Alora (only few min away) with flamenco dancing and horses. We loved going to the lake and visiting all the towns nearby. The house is beautifully decorated with attention to detail. The bed was comfy (they even give you a choice of pillows, hard or soft), the air con was nice and quiet. Pool towels were provided, as baby linens (which was well appreciated). Showers had a proper water pressure, which is important to me. We loved using their BBQ and having dinners outside on the terrace or sitting drinking wine at night by the illuminated pool. The place is really secluded and private. We had several massages offered at the villa, which were totally amazing, highly recommend. The owner was easy to deal with, if you need anything, just ask. Nothing seemed to be much of a problem.

Lotus Finca is an amazing little place to stay. There has clearly been a lot of thought and attention put into the design and furnishing of this beautiful little house and it has every amenity you would need for a enjoyable stay. We were met on arrival in alora and taken directly to the house which is about 5 kms outside of the village. So there were no problems with directions or picking up keys. On arrival we were delighted with the overall quality of the place - the beautiful pool and jacuzzi area, the very high quality garden furniture that gave plenty of options for sunbathing and relaxing, sheltered or unsheltered, the outdoor cooking area and then the house itself which was beautifully clean and extremely well equipped in every room. The place has a lovely feeling about it. My girlfriend and I had a very relaxing and romantic week there. It is even better than it looks in the pictures! We would highly recommend it
