We (8 people) stayed at this villa for only 6 days - which was actually a shame, because it is such a wonderful house - we would have loved to stay for 2 weeks. The photos are absolutely correct, but the house is even better in real-life. The villa is massive, clean as a whistle and is perfectly equipped with everything you can imagine, down to towels, shower gel, hair-dryers, coffee and spices in the kitchen, the works. The pool is wonderful - big and clean. Although it is only 5 minutes by car from Panicale, it is very secluded, surrounded by farmland, sunflowers and cornfields. With 8 people we had bedrooms to spare - there is enough space so that you don't get in each other's hair, and the tables are big enough to sit 12 people easily and comfortably. The manager is great - communication perfect, she organised everything, met us in the town to show us how to get to the villa, booked a restaurant for the first night, and was available for us at any time. If you get the chance to have Nonna to cook for you, I can thoroughly recommend her. She not only cooks up a dream, she is lovely. Go there - you won't regret it! Worthwhile excursions: Panicale of course, Perugia, Assisi, Firenze, Montepulciano, Pienza, San Quirico, Castiglione de Lago (great market every Wednesday).

We stayed for a week in this fantastic villa, very quiet and comfortable. We enjoy visiting Panicale and all the places nearby (this is a strategic position for visiting Florence, Rome, Perugia, Assisi...) and having fun and relax in the pool. There is a lot of privacy and we love it. The girl who manage the house is so kind and gentle and always attentive to all the needs. We hope we can come back next year!

Wow! This villa, a gorgeously restored farmhouse, was the perfect home base for our 2-month back roads adventure! Drove down a gravel lane, past sunflower fields & vineyards & poppies... saw the lights of both Panicale & Paciano at night from the master bedroom windows... Super quiet & comfy beds (& great bedding!) so we all slept really well... living room areas on both floors so we could spread out... prepared delicious feasts in the kitchen... ate at the farmhouse table inside & also outside on the patio next to the former tobacco drying "shed" (it's a beautiful brick structure!)... splashed around in the sparkling pool... wish we never had to leave! And dear villa rental manager was a dream... readily available & with great suggestions... she really makes the experience unforgettable! I've rented several other properties, and she is the best!!! Some of her suggestions: dinners at the nearby agriturismo La Querciolana - a must do! (come hungry, it's a fabulous 6-course meal!)... we learned how to make authentic Umbrian lasagna (with olive oil Béchamel sauce & meat sauce)... saw gorgeous lace made by a local Panicale woman... had a "Nonna" come to the farmhouse several times to prepare exquisite meals (where we helped make the ravioli!)... ate at all the Panicale restaurants (great meals everywhere!) & 2 outdoor cafes... great focaccia & apricot crostadas at the local Panicale bakery... delicious meal out on the terrace at Il Casale in Paciano... the few shops in Panicale have beautiful Umbrian linens & ceramics/pottery). We took day trips to Assisi, Orvieto & Civita di Bagnoregio, Deruta, Citta della Pieve, Torgiano, Montefalco, Spoleto, Castiglione del Lago... & Cortona, Montepulciano, & Siena. The locals in Panicale are very warm & welcoming... & a few speak English (though it's fun to speak Italian!). Highly recommend staying here if you want an unforgettable vacation off the beaten track, but near so much!

We were in the villa for 9 nights with 3 families: 6 adults and 9 children. We loved to stay in this comfortable villa! We enjoyed the quite neighbourhood, the well equipped kitchen, the spacious rooms and clean bathrooms, the beautiful swimming-pool, the lovely towns in the environment... And the house-manager (who lives in the town Panicale) is superb. We never had such a kind/helpful house-manager! Thanks a lot! We hope to come back to the villa!!!

Our holiday in Panicale was expected. We were there last year and came back home delighted. Therefore, this year with a large group we went to Panicale again. The previous house manager recommended us this villa. Pictures does not fully reflect what house offers. Our group of 13 had found here, privacy, amenities which help our relaxation and simple beauty. The house is perfect for groups of friends with children. The only drawback is that you do not want to leave it. Beautiful view of Panicale, setting around field of sunflowers and vineyard gives unique charm. In a large kitchen with nonna we were preparing Italian dishes. Panicale and nearby towns are comely. This was not our first stay in Umbria and Panicale however the owner's recommendations let us know the area from the new perspective. On our arrival - late arrival - she feed our fridge and made sure we had enough to eat and drink. She was always helpful and discreet presence when needed. She helped us in case of collisions on the road. Back to Panicale is only a matter of time.

Best house ever! We went with two family's, together 9 persons. We all enjoyed it equally, parents and children (also teenagers!!). Beautiful property with magnificent garden. Very open and spacious and everywhere sunflowers! Inside the house it is big but still cosy. There are plenty of rooms and more than enough bathrooms. Everything is there to use such as towels, cleaning products, napkins, tablecloths... The "house lady" is very friendly and took care of everything we needed. The area is really stoning with nearby the most enchanting villages! We will come back for sure!!!

We were three families holidaying in this wonderful villa with our children, ages 9-16. The kids loved the pool and us adults enjoyed soaking up the Umbrian sun in the well-maintained gardens. We explored the local area - Montepulciano, Isla Maggiore and Castiglione del Lago (market Wednesday am). We also did Siena on the train. Would have liked to have done more, but a week is not enough. The owner was such a welcoming host, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much, hope to see you in a year or two!

We were a group of 8 people staying in this beautiful farmhouse villa. The villa exceeded our high expectations. There is lots of space and very comfortable. Everyone from our group said that they would like to return in the future. The indoors and outdoor space is fantastic. The area and village of Panicale are absolutely gorgeous. Every direction you look is breathtaking and the locals are so friendly and welcoming. We were very thankful to our host who manages the property. She was able to give us lots of information and was more than happy to help us with anything we needed. She made everything very easy. We would certainly recommend this villa and a holiday in this beautiful location.

We spent a lovely week this past June at this house with family. The villa is extremely spacious. The first floor living room, dining room, and kitchen are enormous, as are a number of the many bedrooms. And, those that are smaller are still quite large. There is also a very spacious second living room area on the second floor. The house has been beautifully renovated, combining its centuries old Umbrian charm with modern amenities, including plentiful bathrooms. The countryside surrounding the house consists of beautiful fields of some wheat-type grain and huge swaths of sunflowers (which, unfortunately for us, were not yet open during our early-season stay there). Panicale is a lovely, classic Umbrian hill town, with several nice and delicious restaurants and piazza with a few cafes with outdoor tables from which you can take in the slow-paced scene. There are a number of food shops where you can get fresh bread, vegetables, cheese, meat, etc. It is a 5 minute drive from the house. It's possible to walk, but it is a good 40 minute, uphill climb. The villa's owner lives nearby and enough cannot be said about her hospitality and warmth. She truly welcomes you as family. Her gracious and warm welcome goes a long way toward making you feel at home at the house -- and in Panicale in general. Her family has lived there for generations, she knows everyone, and can help you navigate any issue, arrange a reservation for you at a restaurant in town -- or a home-cooked Umbrian meal at the villa by nonna, who arrived at the house with all the makings for a festive dinner. Topping it off was the chance to help her roll and form the homemade ravioli that was just one part of the meal. It was finished with her amazing homemade tiramisu! The swimming pool was a lovely amenity. The outdoor table and seating area next to the tobacco house was the setting for a candle lit dinner one night that felt straight out of a movie set in the Italian countryside. There are lots of other interesting nearby towns to visit. Day-trips to Perugia, Siena, and Montelpuciano are all within reach. All in all, a beautifully maintained home, in a magical setting, with a host about whom one can't say enough. Fantastico! We hope to return one day!
