This villa is beautiful, comfortable and a perfect place to relax. The owners are very welcoming and caring. We had breakfast on the terrace each morning and were given excellent tips for where to go and what to look out for. The pool was a welcome place to relax and the walk through the olive groves a peaceful way to start the day. A fantastic 9 days.

This was a beautiful B&B on the outskirts of Pistoia. The owners were very welcoming and offered a wonderful cooking course. They provided excellent suggestions that were excellent and more authentic than the regular tourist trip. It is also an excellent location for large groups or small groups. The location is close enough to Pistoia to make a quick and easy drive but far enough up the hill for peace and quiet.

The owners are wonderful hosts. They attend to every detail to make sure we had a comfortable stay, such as printouts of weather forecast and recommended restaurants in the neighborhood. The chateau is tastefully designed and decorated. The garden makes possible relaxing moments during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this ~1000 "castle" perched in the hills above Pistoia while we visited our daughter and her classmate, who were in the middle of their next-to-last clinical Physical Therapy internship at the Fondiazone di Turati in nearby Gavinana. Our apartment was well equipped with everything we needed for our 4-day visit. The owners also arranged a special one-day Tuscan cooking class for the four of us. Now we want to return when the weather is warmer and the pool is open. The long narrow driveway was a bit of an adventure, but well worth it!

I stayed here for 4 days with my mum and her Italian adult education class in late May. The owners were nothing but welcoming to us throughout our entire experience, and it was fantastic for us to be exposed to their beautiful Italian, since we had been banned from speaking English all weekend! We arrived quite late, but our teacher had arranged to cook for us upon arrival on the Saturday, so we were treated to one of the most delicious Italian meals I have ever had the pleasure of eating: five wonderful courses of Tuscan delights, complete with vino, which led to us rolling back up to our rooms very late that night! The self-catered apartments are gorgeous: very spacious, airy and tastefully decorated. I shared a twin room with my mum, and one lady was in the double room within our apartment, and another lady on the "very comfortable" sofa bed in the central living area. We all slept fantastically for all three nights because it's so peaceful in and around the villa. We breakfasted in one central apartment at the bottom of the villa which was great, and we were able to have some Italian lessons outside on the terrace. We spent one gorgeous afternoon drinking Prosecco by the pool, and were even treated to an architectural tour of beautiful Pistoia by the owner (because one of our party is very good friends with him.) I certainly got the impression that they would be happy to advise on places to visit and eat nearby! We also visited Vinci, home of Leonardo da Vinci, and I recommend a visit there: about 45 minutes away on a windy road with stunning hilltop views! All in all, I loved our four-day long Italian jaunt: our teacher was marvellous at making us speak Italian constantly; the villa is full of constant delights and we ate like kings throughout! My only criticisms would be the incompleteness of the crockery within the rooms: between the five apartments we were inhabiting, we had a full set of crockery and cutlery, but I think there could possibly be more consistency with the type and number of pots and pans etc. in each apartment for families staying their on their own! Definitely recommended for a very authentic Tuscan stay :)

After reading the good reviews I decided to stay here as a family of five. I was looking for a clean place with good views outside of Pistoia. May I just mention that the villa is not a full service hotel but more a B and B composed of multiple well equipped apartments. It has a pool with marvellous views. We were met by the smiling owner who showed us to our top floor apartment. Two kitchens, two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a big living room. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped. We were then given a tour of the property and offered coffee and drinks while watching the sun setting on Pistoia... We were asked what we wanted for breakfast the next day and it was beautifully delivered. Even though there is was no dinner service the owners offered to make us a meal which I thought was extremely kind. All in all a perfect choice.

The cleanliness of the place is incredible and the location and view is also 5-star and the gentleman who owns the place is sooo kind when we departed from the paradise he gave us a bottle of wine and lollies for the kids.
