This was the perfect Tuscan holiday. The house was magnificent - very well decorated and furnished, with superb views of the surrounding countryside. The facilities at the site were fantastic, with an excellent swimming pool and access to local produce from the farm, including some great Chianti wine. The owners were the perfect hosts - by no means intrusive, but always there if we needed anything and always happy to chat. The location is great, with easy access to Siena and other nearby towns and cities. All in all, a truly great experience.

My stay was a celebration for my 60th birthday with family and friends for three wonderful weeks staying in this villa. It was more than I could of imagined. The beauty of the home, surrounding scenery, to get up and be overwhelmed by all the sites and sounds were incredible. The hosts made my celebration one that will never be forgotten. They went way beyond making us comfortable and helped us enjoyed our time there. This is a great location because it serves well a home base for day trips throughout the Tuscany region.

The owners are fantastic hosts. Friendly, energetic, interesting and accommodating. They made us feel at home. We enjoyed chatting with them and learning more about their home, Tuscany, Siena, the owner's work, etc. Our hostess speaks perfect English and was a pleasure to chat with. The owner may not speak English (and we don't speak Italian), but we managed to have some great conversations in spite of the language barrier. The property is just gorgeous. Rustic and beautiful with sweeping vistas. He has many of his sculptures throughout the property. We loved it. We stayed in one portion of the villa which includes 3 bedrooms a large living room, large dining room and a beautiful deck. We visited with our three kids (17, 9 and 6) and we had a great time. The younger ones enjoyed exploring the farm and visiting the animals. In addition to a few restaurants within a 5 minute drive, the owners also offer some meal options. They made us a delicious dinner the night we arrived and we had a pizza party the last night. Both meals were excellent! It is also very convenient to travel to Siena (15-20 min), Florence (45 min) and many Tuscan hill towns. We really enjoyed our time and highly recommend their beautiful property. We look forward to going back someday. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time. It was much more than we had even hoped for. Our accommodation was much more spacious than we had imagined: the photos don't do it justice in that sense. Italian friends came to visit and said the view from our balcony must be one of the best in Tuscany. We sat out there every night. The owners were wonderful hosts. We booked the hostess for a tour of Sienna a couple of days before the Palio: the atmosphere in the city was electric and her enthusiasm was infectious. The host was unfailingly friendly and kinder than we could possibly have anticipated. We enjoyed buying eggs, vegetables, wine and olive oil from the owners and our final night we had a pizza party where he cooked fantastic pizza in a wood fire oven. The local area is a joy to explore, and Siena is handy enough. Highly recommended to soak up the Tuscan way of life. It can be hot in the bedrooms if it is the heat of summer, but there were shutters to shade the windows during the day, and provided you don't have the lights on when the bedroom windows are open, mosquitos in the bedrooms were no issue for us. You do need repellant/coils if you want to sit outside late into the evening without the odd bite. Finding it: you will drive up a hill through Vagliagli as you follow the website instructions/your sat nav./the location on Google Maps. Stay on that road (keep the faith) and you will pass through 'Cignano' (there is a sign), come over the crest of a hill and the ? second driveway to the right has a stone Obelisk (like the ones they carried around in Asterix & Obelix). Take that driveway, its not the first house to the left but instead you continue down the gravel drive and you will find it at the end.

My entire family congregated at this beautiful villa in early July 2013 for a reunion and a return to our heritage. We were 9 adults (mostly couples) and two children spanning three generations. My wife and I loved it here. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the owners and proprietors of this working vineyard and olive grove. Their warmth and attention to our needs throughout the week could not have been better. The owner is a nationally known sculptor whose works adorn the entire property and his wife is a vibrant, tri-lingual professional Sienese tour guide. They opened their home and hearts to us. They have created a jewel twenty mins from Siena near Vagliagli - a rustic town with a excellent restaurants. He has applied his artistic talents in the design of an indoor stone-lined spa with jacuzzi, Steam and sauna and massage and relaxation rooms as well as a very large sculptured spa adjacent to a large outdoor pool which directly overlooks the vineyard and valley. We rented the entire house which really consists of a number of fully-equipped apartments which can be privatized or allowed to flow freely from one to the other. Breakfast and dinner is taken at a large table on a deck overlooking the entire valley - truly magnificent views! We chose to have breakfast and dinners there on selected days - the food was great! And the wine! Almost all ingredients eaten or drank are from the property and personally prepared. I sat on one of the verandas for lunch one day and realized that my senses were alive - the view of the valley, the sounds of the birds, the flavor of the food, the smell of the flowers surrounding me and the gentle breeze. This is a country home as it should be - wild yet cultivated, very comfortable but not overly luxurious, close to the city but far enough to be away from it all. My wife and I stayed in the cottage (queen bed in one room and two singles in the other with kitchen, living room and bath). Very private and comfortable - we slept with the windows open as it is comfortably cool at night. There is no AC- quite frankly, it isn't needed even in July as the property is hundreds of meters above sea level. You can stay here and come and go as you please or, as we did, get to know the owners and make them part of your experience. We enjoyed their company and hospitality immensely. We have stayed at over forty hotels and villas in Italy over the years - this place felt like our own W.C.

We traveled with our friends and neighbors to tour the Villages of Tuscany and stayed here for a week. The owners were excellent hosts. One of them who works as a tour guide, provided a tour of her beloved Siena where she was born. We also reserved dinner on the terrace on three occasions and the homemade Tuscan cooking was five star. The farm is on many acres of vineyards and olive groves. The owner produces his own wine and olive oil. The house wine was wonderful a true Chianti Classico right from the vines. We watched the sun rise and sun set over a panoramic landscape. It was a truly a unique experience.

Truly had the best spot to daytrip to surrounding areas. Property was well maintained and the mountain views were spectacular! Wonderful little restaurants to visit in nearby Vagliagli as well. Robes and linens were provided which was a nice touch. The villa was well equipped with everything you would need to prepare a meal or just have a glass of wine while taking in the views from the back porch. The Jacuzzi was nice to have after traveling during the day. We also visited during harvest so it was exciting to watch the picking of the grapes right outside our villa.

From the time we arrived at this gem of a property in the heart of Tuscany it was a luxurious retreat where anything was possible. The owners were amazing hosts, providing enough chopped wood to keep a roaring fire the whole time, to booking an Ayurvedic message therapist for us to melt away stress in between the Turkish steam bath, infrared sauna and jacuzzi. I would highly recommend having them cook a meal for you. We requested they cook a meal for us the night of our arrival from Florence as we hadn't visited a food store. Honestly, this was one of the best meals our group had in the entire trip compared with gourmet dinners at highly lauded restaurants charging twice as much. The five-course feast had a seasonal fall soup with Tuscan kale and pumpkin that we are still talking about! Can't say grazie enough!

We had the most magical stay here for a week in June 2012. Our stay here was a highlight of a two month European tour. This wonderful place is truly a gem. Our family-- two college kids, my husband and my sister stayed in the main house. The home is located in the center of the family farm, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The home itself is beautiful, decorated with family artwork and heirlooms, with a deck overlooking the gorgeous countryside. The suite is directly connected to the Wellness Center--a peaceful oasis where you can enjoy a hot tub, sauna or steam bath with large windows to bring the outdoors inside. The views are amazing. The owner's sculptures are displayed throughout the property, giving a very special quality. But despite the perfection in the home and all around you, the best part is feeling at home due to the hospitality of the hosts. One of them speaks fluent English, French and German. Despite the fact that the owner doesn't speak English, interactions with him were nevertheless fun and fruitful. Such a fun, energetic, talented man! The hosts and everyone that we interacted with during our stay here were warm, welcoming and so willing to help make your visit to the area perfect. Having access to the luscious organic wine, olive oil, eggs and produce which are produced on the farm makes your stay that much more special. The owner made pizza for our family one night in his outdoor, wood fired pizza oven. Don't miss this opportunity, so much fun and so delicious! I cannot recommend this wonderful property highly enough. It is located in a wonderful part of Tuscany and it is so easy to take day trips to major points of interest. This villa was my home for a month this year. It was a dream come true. My very large family and friends joined me to celebrate my eightieth year. The dinners, especially the pizza parties, were excellent, and so much fun. Their wine and olive oil were enjoyed by all. The apartments have everything you could possibly want, including good mattresses. The little town of Vagliagli, within walking distance, has a bar, a great place for a morning latte or cappuccino. The grocery store has some of the daily necessities. The pharmacist speaks English, and the ATM comes in handy. There are two good restaurants, and another on the edge if town. The owner gave us a better understanding about why the Sienese are so passionate about their city. Siena is 15 minutes away. Several well known wine towns are an easy drive. Castallina in Chianti is 7 km away with good restaurants, and three of the owner's sculptors. If all goes well, I will return for the harvest next year, and a visit with my new friends.

The incredible landscape that the villa is set on gives you the chance to see unprecedented sunrises, as well as view unbelievable star viewing. Relaxation can be defined by this spot. For those that feel their bodies well being is as important as their relaxation, there are tons of great dirt roads, and trails surrounding the villa. Go out and get lost for an hour and find your way back. The owners and the rest of the crew are incredibly welcoming and help make the stay authentic. Their food and the villa are authentic and wonderful. The apartment is incredible and has everything one might need. Definitely, definitely, definitely enjoy the Thursday evening Pizza Party, best Pizza party I have ever been to.

Peaceful, restful, luscious landscapes and views. Rooms lovely, the pool is a real asset, and the wellness centre (infrared sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, with massages available for booking), is a one of a kind space designed with love and creativity. Great walking opportunities. The hosts are basically perfecto in every way and the owner's art scattered around the grounds is matched by his own sense of artistry and kindness. A car is a must and Siena (20 mins by car), and Florence (1.5 hours by train from Siena), and many beautiful places are easily accessible by car, train, or bus. The small town of Vagliagi has a few good restaurants. Great wine and olive oil available through our hosts.

This was the perfect vacation. Everything about the villa was top notch - the view, the food, the wine, the wonderful hosts, the accommodations.......I would not hesitate to return someday. I don't think there could be a better way to see Toscana in all its glory. And if you need a break from the rolling hills and beauty of the countryside you can take a short ride to Siena or Florence.

Fantastic location in Tuscany with great views from the house. Stayed as a group of 12, we actually rented the whole farmhouse. The owner and his family are really friendly and helpful hosts. We had booked the Tuscan dinner for the evening of our arrival (no worries about finding a restaurant or cooking so soon after our journey). The owner and company provided a delicious home cooked meal which we all enjoyed. We also booked his pizza evening and were treated to a never ending supply of pizzas cooked in his traditional wood fired oven. He looked a bit surprised when we told him to stop as I'm sure that the next batches were ready!! The house is set in beautiful countryside and is perfectly place for trips to Sienna (20 min by car), and Firenze (about 1.5 hours by car). You can also take the train from Sienna to Firenze which is about the same travel time. Parking tip!! - if you are driving to Sienna park at the railway station underground car park. We paid 2 Euros for a whole day, and if you go into the shopping complex opposite the station (PAM supermarket) you will find a succession of escalators and travelators that take you up the hill to Sienna old town. You can't drive into the old town as it is a traffic restricted zone (ZTL) - same as Firenze. Big fines can apply if you do stray inside the zone - beware!! For food shopping etc, use the Co-op supermarket which is close to Sienna railway station. A point to bear in mind. You will need your own transport as the rental is a bit isolated. The local village of Vagliagli is a few minutes drive but only has a small shop and a couple of restaurants. Also remember that the local roads can be a bit challenging to the uninitiated, and what starts out as a tarmac surface can suddenly turn into an off-road course. However, this is all part of the fun of being somewhere new on holiday. To sum up - a great holiday in a stunning location with wonderful hosts. We would love to go back....

In an age when travelers are looking for the perfect setting, the best furnishings, the promptest service, the greatest luxury for the price and the highest ranking vacation spot my group of friends chose a farm house vacation in Tuscany. Although this place is well reviewed I would just like to try to describe some of the highlights. For me having a host who understands the relationship between being available and friendly and not overstepping the line is of paramount importance. I selfishly want to be left alone to experience and enjoy but I also, want my needs met promptly. The owner and his family certainly did that. If anything was needed they got it for our group but never seemed to be in the way. There wasn't anything we needed that we didn't get and it was always provided with grace and generosity underlying their desire for us to enjoy ourselves. About the farm; it is a vineyard with some farm animals including Skunk the friendly dog, an ever growing family of cats and kittens, we named one 'Tomas' in the hopes he would jump in our luggage on our check out, he had brothers and sisters including two kittens born while we were there. They have an old boar and lady goat waiting for a companion the family want to be able to milk her again. And then there were the rows and rows of ripe grapes! Available to us were their home made olive oil and Chianti wine at every reasonable prices...that's pretty authentic, but it doesn't end there, the owner Inglesi as well as beeing a well-know sculpture does a remarkable healing style massage. I indulged twice in the two weeks we were there. He offers the massage as well as a full spa with hot tub, infra-red sauna and Turkish Steam bath and a really splendid pools and deck with a Million dollar view. We spent many afternoons, mornings and evenings at the pool or enjoying the view. We also had catering done including a breakfast, a pizza party and a Tuscan dinner. The interior of the house is Tuscan rustic, the house was built and created to embrace their region, being very functional for all types of groups and needs without becoming pretentious. Neighbouring restaurants in Vagliagli made for local dining treats and in the two weeks we were there we visited Siena 3 times, Florence twice and several other Chianti towns. On behalf of all 12 my thanks to the owners and staff, it was an unforgettably wonderful vacation!

We spent 2 weeks at this wonderful farmhouse with 8 friends and 2 family members. The farmhouse which is situated in a vineyard (their Chianti Classico is wonderful), and olive grove is perfectly situated in the heart of the Chianti region only 20 minutes from Siena and other small Tuscan villages. The scenery is truly stunning and our hosts were really wonderful hosts, always willing to provide help if needed. We had the Tuscan dinner on our first evening, it was delightful the owner's Risotto ai Funghi Porcini is "to die for" myself and one of our friends couldn't stop eating it, even though we new there was more food to come, we also had the Pizza dinner one evening, again this was wonderful, the pizza's just kept on coming and when the owners and the lovely daughter who was serving us the pizza was asked, how many more pizza's would there be she replied, just say when you have had enough, we said OK that's enough so she went down to tell her father and he came up with the final pizza and was disappointed we couldn't eat anymore. Vagliagli is beautiful little village only 1.5 Kms. from the farmhouse you can walk but the terrain is quite undulating, and the restaurants are very good, especially Osteria la Botte. You will need to have a car to travel around, and visits to the surrounding villages are worth it especially Castellina in Chianti which is lovely and has possibly the best Gelato in Tuscany. Our thanks to the owners and the staff for letting us share their wonderful home, we hope to go back again.
