We spend a week in this villa. We were surprised by the great view you will witness over the Apulia landscape. For our four kids the swimming pool and garden with olive trees were a great playground. Tip: use the bikes or hire some more in Cisternino and discover the great bike lane across the country which starts near Cisternino. For food: visit the Monday market, a great experience. And of course go to the beaches near Torre Canne, especially Lido Bizzarro: our favorite.

Beach, swimming pool, terrace with stunning views over hills, olive trees Truli and above all, wine and food: this is paradise. Great for the kids, brand new facilities and nice old towns are only a 5 minutes drive away. The owner is very friendly and knows the region very well and can provide very useful information. Highly recommended!

On arrival we were welcomed by our local host. He didn't speak much English, but we managed and the information on the brochure we received on arrival was of great help. The house itself is set in beautiful surroundings, with impressive views and boasts a well sized swimming pool which we made good use of. We loved the design of the interior, clean lines, with a fresh feel. Initially we worried about having enough privacy in the living space, but it turned out really well. The design meant that the children slept in the lower bedroom in large comfortable double beds, and we were upstairs, in a comfy bed with an adjoining bathroom, with bath and overhead shower. The evenings were surprisingly cool, and we even had to use the blankets. We enjoyed spending time at the house, and by the pool and since it is situated near the beach we took trips there as well as going further afield to explore the surrounding area. The house is comfortable and spacious enough that we were very happy to stay in and cook, but when we felt like exploring, there was enough to do in the surrounding area to take trips out. Convenient also to have the little 'Lamia' house attached next door for two families travelling together. All in all a peaceful hidden gem.

Funky, stylish new property built with a nod to traditional architecture with large infinity pool and a great view across trulli and olive trees. Great, and very helpful neighbours, and very helpful gardener cum handyman. We had a great, relaxing, sunny holiday here. It is about an hour's drive from both Brindisi and Bari airports. You will need a car as the nearest restaurants and shops are about 20 mins walk away, but only 5 mins in the car. Most of the local restaurants are great and really cheap - we struggled to spend EUR20 per head for 20 courses including drinks anywhere in the region. You're about a 20 min drive from places like Alberobello and Martina Franca which are well worth visiting. The nearest beaches are also about 20 mins away and they are sandy with lovely blue sea, but the prettier beaches are more like an hours drive away. Also about an hour away is Polignano a mare which is also well worth a visit. Cisternino itself is probably the coolest of the local towns as it is very much unchanged by tourism and has a much more relaxed vibe than the more obvious tourist spots. Be sure to head to Bar Fod in the afternoon for great ice cream, but be warned that all the other bars and shops close between midday and 7pm ish. Also make sure you try Padre Peppe after your meal - it is the local digestif made from walnuts. I'm already looking for anyone nearby that can supply me - but on holiday head to Bar Fod again, order the Padre Peppe and watch the world go by in the town square. We loved our time here and will definitely come back!

This is an absolute must if you are going to the Puglia area. At first I was a bit skeptical, because we were a group of families and we had never stayed in a place like this before (usually hotels) but the property more than exceeded our expectations. We were greeted upon arrival and the place looked exactly like the photos as advertised (rare). Since we are Americans, we always use air conditioning, but there is no need here since the property is on top of a hill and there is a constant fresh breeze blowing. The interior has a special open style design, but there weren't any problems with privacy even though there were 8 of us. Our favorite point about the place is the pool, simply awesome. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Puglia to stay here and enjoy the real, authentic Italy!!
