What can we say except that Fairytale Civita is simply amazing – it is much more impressive and tasteful than it appears on the Internet. As we walked over the bridge towards Bagnoregio – it felt like we had arrived in special part of heaven. All around us were scenic views of the Italian rule landscape interspersed with mist covered gullies - olive trees, orchards and old stone farm buildings. The atmosphere and romance are a critical part of Fairytale Civita – which stands out because one can almost feel the direct connection to multiple generations of people who have interacted with the building and landscape. For us, it is extraordinary to think of the Etruscan and Roman people working the stone around the town, or early tradesmen using the many caves to store their olive oil and wine. It’s almost as if you can feel the presence - something very special. Despite its antiquity, Fairytale Civita is beautifully laid out and extremely comfortable and modern to live in. The swimming pool, the tunnels and wine cellar created a great sense of fun. We desperately want to come back! Grazie.

Thank you for the wonderful experience here at Fairytale Civita. Wards can't describe what you have created for your guests. This house in town are amazing and will forever be an awesome memory for Jerry and myself. Our host has been a huge bonus by preparing delicious meals and providing us with whatever we need to make this such a delightful vacation. Everything is here for us to completely relax and keep us wanting to extend our stay. We hate to say goodbye so I will say "a pin tardy". Grazie.

The manager greeted us at the bottom of the bridge on the night we arrived and he's been here for everything we needed including child proofing the place for a 2 year old, something with did not think was possible. We had the awesome privilege of staying at Fairytale Civita last week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the villa is fantastic. What a warm and cozy place it is with all the great views and historic nature of the home. From the moment the manager picked us up at the airport, our drive to Bangnoregio, and our first walk across the bridge to the villa till the day we had to leave was a special vacation. We had a superb host and an excellent chef. The inital tour of the home was breath taking and all five of the floors are a joy. The wine cellar was my favorite floor :) The inventory in the wine cellar was certainly depleted once we had completed our 1 week stay!!! The views from the garden out on the horizon are serene and the pool and hot tub were very nice to enjoy and relax with a glass of the local wine! He prepared a magnificent meal for us on our first full day and it was hard for us to leave to see local sites and tours but we did! A marvellous tour guide as we experienced Florence and Rome, Italy with him. He speaks fluent English and knows all of the sites to see and explore. I would highly recommend him to any of your guest as the one to take for a tour guide / driver. We went to many of the restaurants and my favorite restaurant was Alma Civita. What a special place with friendly local owners. We had the house wine and some homemade Grappa during the day a delicious dinner for the 6 of us. We spent each day walking the village, sitting down with a glass of wine while enjoying the outdoor surroundings, exchanging smiles with local folks, and stopping by the local historic church to greet the caretaker. You have discovered a treasure in Fairytale Civita and we have already recommended to our friends! Thank you again for the chance to explore Italy for our first time and to rest each evening in a very special home. WE WILL BE BACK

We are now home after a wonderful experience at Fairytale Civita in Civita di Bagnoregio. Upon arriving at the house, we were given a tour that took our breath away. Every room or stairway was amazing. Everything was so clean. Food, alcohol, towels, books, wine, utilities -- all there for us to enjoy. But the house was the amazing part. Modern appliances, contemporary furnishings, but felt like you were going back in time as you took the stairway down past the wine cellar, then past the pool with kitchen, and then finally down to the Roman water cistern 2000 years old. Then the village from the 1300’s (with unbelievable history and challenges nature poses) and its nice, nice people. The cafes, the church, and the shops all greeted us so warmly. Our host cooked a great meal Sunday night. We also went to the church Sunday at 11:30 a.m. We loved the many cats and they loved us. I think we fed them a little too much. We went to Florence with our guide on Tuesday and had a great time visiting museum, shops, and cafés. He took us to Rome on Thursday. Saw Coliseum, Forum, Sistine Chapel, and Vatican Museum, along with Trevi Fountain. Obama was also in town. He had a slightly larger motorcade than us. Last day – Friday, we just hung out at the house. The host came and visited – he’s wonderful. It was sad to leave Fairytale Civita and the Village. We hope someday to return to the most beautiful place on earth we have ever visited!

We had a wonderful time! The house was a dream.....it exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved Civita and would like to do a Christmas trip! We made friends there and will definitely be back. My grand daughter named all the cats which are now listed in your guest book. I have several friends in the high end travel business and have sent them your website along with recommendation. The restaurant Alma di Civita should be at the top of your list. It was one of the many highlights of our trip. I think another recommendation should be Pienza for a day trip with lunch at La Porta in Monticchiello (about 7 or 8 minutes away). Looking forward to our next stay!
