I stayed here for 7 blissful nights as part of my 3 week Greece itinerary. There were only two flights out from Athens to this island and we took the evening one. I would recommend the early flight next time although waking up to paradise after arriving in darkness has its merits too. A taxi took us out to the other side of the island in about 45 minutes. This was a perfect place to let time stop and just relax. Our host provided snorkeling gear and kayaks. Our days were spent exploring the coast and relaxing in, on, and around the water. The villa was quite spacious and we never got in each other's way. We mostly ate at the villa but we did have a couple meals out in the nearby port. The whole area is quite charming and I do recommend renting a car at the airport upon arrival so as to explore it. Don't forget your international license as Greece is pretty strict about this in particular. Do your main grocery shopping in the main town of Zakynthos before making the trek to the other side of the island. There are a few shops in the small nearby port. Our host was quite accommodating (thanks again for your help with getting a car!) and his dog Dias was our constant companion, "tour guide" and lifeguard. All in all, this little island and this place is a gem. I wish I could have stayed longer and explored it more.

What a beautiful week we had, tucked away at the north end of Zante, in a stunning three bed villa that was elegantly finished throughout. Our dining area opened onto a covered paved area that extended into the glorious Greek sunshine. We'd sit in the afternoon in our plunge pool that afforded views of deep blue sea and nearby Kefalonia. A small port offered several good standard local fare, fresh fish, great steaks and greek salad a plenty. A car is essential to be able to nip around the area to explore this pretty untouched part of the Island, and enabled us to take in some of the small eateries that served equally high standards of food. The villa owner and his staff were a pleasure to deal with, very approachable, helpful and they ensured our large party wanted for nothing. We will return!

We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Priests Cave Villa. It was truly wonderful. The setting is just perfect, quiet and very scenic. The accommodation is fantastic. There is such great attention to detail, and the villa was absolutely spotless. The owner of the villa is the perfect host. Our fridge was filled with soft drinks, wine and beer. There was an abundance of fresh fruit and the kitchen cupboard was full of all the 'basics' you need. He left us eggs from his chickens, vegetables from his garden and even olive oil, pressed from his olive trees. You really couldn't ask for more. My four children had a wonderful holiday. The pool was perfect, as were the mornings spent using the canoes that he had left for us to use. The nearby port is very small and very friendly (although the supermarket is VERY expensive....use the Spar near the airport to stock up when you arrive) and we had some lovely evenings eating at the taverna on the beach. Priests Cave Villa is probably in the most beautiful and unspoilt part of Zakynthos. It is the first place we have been to as a family where we have booked our return visit before we have left! A wonderful place!

The view is incredible, the peace is astonishing, the house is perfect relaxed comfort, and our host would pop by every couple of days with bread, or wine, or grapes and figs, wonderful little treats to make us feel welcome. Six of us shared the house for a week in September and the perfect weather, lounging by the pool, bbqs in the evening and drinks into the wee hours, it was a magical stay. Oh! And we got to crush grapes for wine with our feet with the local priest! Won't get many opportunities to do that in your life.

If Carlsberg did houses this would be it! The location is superb. The house is at the edge of the top of a cliff and when on the terrace it looks as if one is on the bridge of a large ship with only sea out front. The house is lovely with large airy bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. There is a great stone bbq too. The grounds and pool are stunning and there are lots and lots of different books with chairs and tables to read, chat, have a drink or just be. There is lots to do with mountain bikes (unused by us), kayaks in a cave at the bottom of the cliff (about 170 steps down..hewn from the hillside). There are lots of places to paddle to like the spectacular blue caves. There are also several walks directly from the house. The owner is a wonderful host proving all sorts of goodies from homemade olive oil to vegetables to bread. The star of the show is Dias the golden retriever. He is a great buddy, swimming, kayaking, walking or just being good company. We all had a wonderful two weeks in June and really look forward to returning back.

This is the best place for relaxing holidays!!! Out of the city, a very quiet place for someone to charge batteries. The owner is very friendly and a very good host. He is doing his best to offer everything to please his customers. If you like adventure and silence... this is the best place for you!!! If you go once probably you would like to visit Priests Cave Villa again and again, just like us!! And don't forget to have a look out early in the morning. It provides you with the best sunrise in Greece!!!!!

I’ve searched a lot on the Internet just to make sure the honeymoon I intended to spend with my wife Julia was going to be perfect. After weeks of deep thinking, intense googleing for special locations, and having an unlimited budget, it all came down to a simple decision that later-on proved itself to be more than righteous. The stunning gem’s name is: Priests Cave Villa, in the exotic landscape of the Zakynthos island in Greece. Well then, if the pictures on the website are already advertising this place as being breathtaking, let me say that it looks even better in real-life! The villa is going to make you feel special, and are certainly going to build intense memories that you will never, ever forget. We definitely appreciated the secluded feel, the warmth of the architectural details, as well as the traditional styling mixed with a modern touch of always having every imaginable piece of comfort, as well as numerous facilities at our fingertips. The place itself makes you feel pampered, and literally inspires you – everything your heart could wish is naturally offered through the comforting atmosphere of the villa, the infinity pool, the incredible sights over the Ionian sea, the direct (private) access to the Deep Blue cave, and the ever-intelligent and sociable Dias, the protecting golden-retriever that accompanied us now and then. The friendly owner of the villa, which we’re sure you’re going to like, was a refined conversation partner, and surprised us with the intense passion he put in building up this place. As it usually happens with anything that looks and feels flawless, we tried to find faults. The only one we could think of was that the 1 mile road going to the villa from the main road is very bumpy, although this means fewer passing cars could disturb your experience. In the end, we didn’t reach to anything but a simple conclusion: you just can’t beat this place, it is made to be loved and remembered. Simply put, and take our word for it: unforgettable!

Absolutely fantastic in every respect. Stunning location, beautiful villa. The attention to detail with the decor is superb - the owner has put his heart & soul into providing the best. The little touches were very much appreciated including fresh flowers and fruit, the fridge stocked with essentials including wine and even a bag of charcoal for the BBQ!! The Ionian sea views are fantastic with views of Kefalonia one side Zante island in the other direction and even the Greek mainland in the distance. It was great to be able to walk down to the sea cave and take out the kayaks' accompanied by Dias the owners golden labrador who is a very special dog. One morning as we paddled out of the cave we saw a Monk seal just ahead - amazing as these creatures are endangered and unique to the Mediterranean. There are numerous taverna's close by so you don't need to travel far for food but on one day we took the ferry to Kefalonia from Agios Nikolaos which is only about a mile from the villa to go to Fiscardo a pretty Venetian fishing village on the northern tip of the Island - well worth the trip. Finally a special thanks to the owner of the Priests Cave Villa who is an amazing guy who through his efforts made us feel like friends rather than guests.

We (my wife and I) stayed at the Priests Cave Villa during our honeymoon. Having spent a considerable amount of time trying to find the perfect place for such an occasion we can safely say that we made the right choice in staying there. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who showed us around the villa, he was kind enough to supply us with some essential items in the fridge along with fresh flowers in the villa and a bowl of fruit. The villa itself was perfect, with three bedrooms and bathrooms it was more than big enough for the two of us, and the bedroom we used on the first floor led out onto a lovely veranda with perfect views of the Ionian sea and Kefalonia. Having visited Zakynthos previously we had experienced the beauty of the island and following our stay at the Priests Cave Villa we had the chance to see more amazing and stunning locations and views, one of which greeted us every day we woke up and looked outside of the villa. The villa is located in the north east coast of the island, away from the tourist resorts in the south and perfect for some r & r. About 2-3km from the port of Agios Nikolaos and off the beaten track the villas all share the same stunning views of the Ionian sea with fantastic views of Kefalonia. The port of Agios Nikolaos is the closest point for tavernas and restaurants with many more dotted along the coastal road offering a variety of choice and great food. The villa has access to a set of caves where you can have free use of the Kayak and experience the Blue Caves close up without the need of a boat trip, we like another reviewer were accompanied by Dias the owners dog who came along for the ride on the Kayak. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is something that little bit special in Zante then this place should be at the top of your list. To sum up the Priests Cave Villa in a few words: stunning views, peace and quite and luxury villa accommodation. A special thank you to the owner for creating such a special place and making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. This really is a place worth visiting and would love to return for a holiday in the future.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Priests Cave Villa, very cozy and well equipped. There was everything we needed or could need: even binocular and loupe. We enjoyed observing the sea and snow-white yachts passing by through the binocular. The place where the villa is located is astonishingly beautiful, quite and intimate. At the same time it only takes three minutes driving to get to the Agios Nikolaos port where the nearest mini markets or taverns are located. Every morning we started from swimming in the sea. To get there we needed to go down the pathway and the stairs always accompanied by the cute and kind dog – Dias. Going up and down the stairs requires you to be careful and make an effort, but this was a great morning exercise for us before the breakfast. Quite rapid way to the sea was well compensated by the surrounding beauty and swimming in clean, blue and transparent water. Dias made our stay at the villa even better. After the breakfast and till the midday we stayed near the swimming pool located on the villa’s territory. It is a swimming pool with reversed flow (!). Then we drove over the island or to Makrios Gialos beach located only 10 minutes driving from the villa. The island is very beautiful with many beautiful views and beaches. But still we liked our beach most of all (although it was shingle). We have visited all the taverns on our side of the island. And everywhere the food was good and portions were plentiful. We would like to thank the owner of villa separately for the attention and hospitality. The fish that he prepared on our arrival day was incredibly delicious. During our stay on the villa we always felt his attention and care. We were leaving the villa well rested and with the feeling that we would like to come there again.
