We decided to stay in the lovely villa during our summer vacations, because Santorini can be very crowded that period, so a private villa in the traditional not-touristic village of Megalochori, sounded great... It was great indeed! The house is beautiful, wonderfully restored, in a great location, overlooking the village and vineyards (you can even see the ocean in the distance!). We stayed in the enormous canava-style bedroom which had a really big bathroom attached with the biggest bathtub I have ever seen! Really atmospheric, perfect for honeymooners.. We also loved the cobblestoned courtyard which had very confy outdoor furniture. The only thing we missed was a private pool but as I noticed in the photos of the property, they added one! More reason for us to go back next summer..

We decided to stay in Santorini Views during our last visit in the island (2nd time). We were a bit concerned if it would be a good idea to stay in a location without caldera view, but now we were so glad that we did! First of all, the villa was in fact an old aristocratic house which was carefully restored. What we loved the most about this villa, was the aesthetics and the amazing outdoor spaces. The house had two levels; On top (where our friends stay) there was a really big veranda with panoramic views of the village and the aegean sea in distance,where we dined almost every afternoon- a sight to behold! My wife and me where living in the ground level where there was a really big cobblestone courtyard- perfect for relaxation. Our bedroom was very romantic and spacious within a "canava? (former wine cellar). The architecture of the place was simply unique... The village (Megalochori) was also a big surprise: It was so ideally traditional Greek with a lot of bell towers, cobblestone streets and a lovely square- not touristic at all: we only spotted 3 lovely restaurants, a mini market, a bakery and a winery which was next door, so we did some serious wine tasting! Also, one big advantage of staying in Megalochori was that because its location, it was 10 min driving distance from almost anywhere (best beaches, capital, archeological sites etc). In the price we paid, there was also a small car included so we were quite mobile.. Another tip for anyone staying in Megalochori: it has a lovely unspoilt part of the Caldera where you can go hiking and enjoy the view of the volcano and the ocean! That was not obvious and we were really glad that our Concierge pointed out this option. In general, the staff was very friendly and although we were living in a villa, we felt that we were enjoying the services of a hotel. We had a wonderful 10 days and we will definitely come back!

A trip to Santorini island had been a dream of ours for many years. When we got married two years ago, we both thought that it was the perfect place for our honeymoon... and we were right! After thorough search to Internet sites with wonderful places to stay, we discovered this villa. Me and my husband loved it! The villa was so romantic that we felt we were living in a fairy tale... really! The sculpted architecture of the inside and outside walls of the house, the unique bedroom inside the canava, the amazing bathtub, the big yard with the volcano stones and the serenity of the village Megalochori... all just an unforgettable experience! And of course thanks to the people of the villa for making our honeymoon so special!

My line of work is quite demanding and all year round I spend my time at it so I try and spend my vacation time as relaxing as possible. When me and my fiance arrived at our villa we both gasped. We could not believe at how lucky we were to have this small secluded paradise to ourselves. The villa itself was very clean and quite secluded away from noise. Megalochori was in the center of the island and so short excursions to Santorini where an everyday thing for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful and accommodated our every little need as insignificant that may had been. We are definitely going back there again soon to spend another great and memorable summer.

I sincerely hope Megalochori remains unspoiled in the future. I found this villa quite comfortable, perfect for relaxation and as a base for the island. My girlfriend fell in love with the pool area. My wife and I stayed in the house for two days before going around the island! That gives you an idea of how much we enjoyed it! Anyway, I'd definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy noise-free, relaxing and carefree vacations, surrounded by beautiful and elegant interiors, in a very good combination of traditional Greek and modern style. Last but not least, service was excellent (which is not always obvious in touristic places such as Santorini).

My husband and I recently Honeymooned in Santorini and stayed at this villa. From start to finish the service and costumer care was fantastic! The manager was extremely accommodating and made sure our stay was special. We were also very impressed with our concierge who was always on hand with brilliant restaurant recommendations and local knowledge. The villa & the grounds were kept immaculately at all times by the staff. We were thrilled with the location of the villa. Megalochori is absolutely beautiful and we loved eating in the local restaurants and sitting by the pool! We really liked the outdoor seating areas and furniture which we felt was of a high specification. We had hope there might have been a BBQ, and upon this feedback the manager assures us that this will be sorted out! In terms of the villa, we loved the master bedroom and found our bed very comfortable. We also appreciated the complimentary robes and toiletries. We felt the hot water supply in general wasn't really plentiful enough- we do understand that water is scarce and that this is part of island life, but the large baths didn't seem suitable given the shortage of water. We certainly wouldn't have been able to fill the Jacuzzi; which was unfortunately broken. However this didn't detract from an incredible holiday! In general Santorini is a must see island and I would particularly recommend Megalochori which is in easy reach of all the major attractions (particularly with an excellent taxi service and car rental service) without being too touristy. The standard of food throughout the Island is sensational (especially the sea food). The people on the island are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back!

My family spent 5 nights here after my daughter's 4 months of studying in Rome and it surpassed everything we had read about it! The room set up was perfect for our older kids and aside from it being a bit windy the first 2 days the outdoor living was delightful. The robes and slippers, daily cleaning service and concierge support was exceptional. Having a family owned three centuries old winery within 20 steps from our doorway was an incredible surprise! The recommended restaurants were all top notch and even after 4 days in Rome the Greek food was wonderful... go with their suggestions. The only thing I would suggest is a grill for outdoor cooking since the roof top table setting would have been great for dinners at home. We will be back!

We took our parents there for a family holiday, staying for five nights and absolutely loved it. They picked us up from the airport and left us with a car at the villa, easiest check in/ car rental ever! The temptation to relax in the courtyard and pool all day made it hard to see the rest of the island. It was clean and well taken care of with a lovely garden throughout. The area was very peaceful, full of friendly locals and our favourite restaurant was just a two minute walk down the road. It did take a bit of getting used to the church bells but it is all part of the village charm. Would definitely go back, would also be fun with a group of friends.

We were a group of 6 staying one week in Santorini. Santorini Views villa gave us the best deal with what we needed and after that week, the six of us agreed that staying in a town like Megalochori was the best option to feel a part of Santorini. And obviously the villa was our dear home! It was perfect for a group and we were assisted in our doubts and needs by the whole team. Even the music in the iPod of the house was perfect! If you travel with the right people and want to feel more Santorini, this is the place.

We had such a great experience that I don't really know where to start. After being met at the ferry by the car rental agent, he drove us and our luggage to the town where we were met by the concierge - a tremendous help in orienting us, recommending activities for the family, arranging a fantastic catamaran ride, and pitching in to help us locate lost luggage! We were provided with a cell phone we could use to reach her at any time and more than once we sent her a text looking for a restaurant rec and got a swift reply. Thank you! The villa itself is really special. The pictures barely do it justice. The garden courtyards (with little hidden nooks and sun spots) were beautifully cared for...flowers blooming everywhere. We loved that we could hear the church bells and spy the bellringer himself every now and then. We were five--my husband and I, our two teenage daughters, and elementary age son. The girls took over the top floor which is really a mini apartment (separate sitting room with TV and bar, dressing room, and bathroom) with outside stairs leading to the courtyard. My son took the smaller downstairs bedroom (which isn't really small and opens onto the courtyards as well) and we had the master with the giant tub and shower. The villa could easily accommodate more though. The small kitchen was entirely sufficient for our needs as we ate most meals out and just had light breakfasts and snacks there. Daily maid service (and the gorgeous welcome bouquet of flowers and bottle of local wine) made us feel really pampered. The pool is beautiful (although it was a bit chilly my son loved it!) and perfect for cooling off. The view from the upper floor was lovely...the village spread out around you (including a goat that apparently lived on someone's roof) and the ocean visible in the distance. I used the space for morning stretching and tai chi. I was worried we would miss something not being ACTUALLY on the ocean but in truth, I'm delighted we weren't. We really really really liked being in the village, up on the hill and far away from the maddening crowds in other more touristy locations. With the included car rental, we could get anywhere we wanted in a very short time--the beach, Fira, etc--nothing is very far away. If you are looking for discos and nightlife, then you should probably stay closer to the beach. But for quiet family, this was the place. The village itself is picture perfect and with the square just steps below the villa, we felt a part of everything that was going on there. People were so kind. I highly recommend Raki for delicious food and friendly people. Because the village is so small, we felt like we got a more authentic experience, including an entertaining evening where residents (children, elders, dogs--everybody!) gathered in the square to sing love songs and handed out shots of raki! We also happened to be there for the saint day of the village's patron saint and got to visit the church, enjoyed watching a ritual procession through town, free lunch, and music. This wasn't a show for tourists at all...and I don't think we would have gotten that experience elsewhere. There is a delicious bakery and truly FANTASTIC ice cream place at the top of the hill on the main road. And the little local gyro joint was yummy too and very inexpensive. This villa would be the perfect place for an intimate destination wedding for example or a special family gathering. The whole experience was perfect and I hope we can return someday. We loved every minute!

Santorini is a beautiful island. The owners of this villa and manager want you to see the island at its best and have many ideas for your stay. They will give you a lot of help and suggestions to make your stay on Santorini memorable. The village is traditional and a small step back in time; it is still how Greece used to be. If you want a fast and busy atmosphere go elsewhere but here you get a feel for the unhurried pace, you will still see men on donkeys going about their daily routine. The food in the tavernas is the best we have tasted anywhere in Greece, even off the beaten track and there is enough to choose from that you won’t get bored in a week. The villa itself is set back in a large cobbled courtyard; it is spotlessly maintained and cared for. There are many seating areas both on the lower and upper level and enough shade to get out of the sun. The rooms themselves are set behind three separate doors, all lockable. The main door is also lockable and you feel very safe, within your own gates. Each room has its own seating areas and bathrooms, two have cooking areas and fridges, and the two with the cooking areas have large baths. Be warned, large doesn’t describe the baths ......... more pools size but very hard to fill up. Each room is separate so I wouldn’t recommend it for very young children but perfect for families with teenagers or three couples travelling together. There is so much space outside that you would never feel that you couldn’t escape or find a quiet spot to read a book. The pool itself is medium sized and set up on steps, shaded in the afternoon, it tends to stay quite cool but is deep enough to swim and play in, a pool is a rarity in Santorini and very welcome when it is hot. All beds are comfy and the towels plentiful. The rooms are serviced daily by a very nice Greek lady but not English speaking. The villa is peaceful and quiet, no road noise or loud music to be heard but the churches will wake you at 7am every morning, they chime every hour and on the half hour and occasionally the bell ringer really goes for it. The view from the upstairs of the villa is special as are our memories. Nothing is a problem for the manager and the owner of the villa is extremely hands on and attentive. Taking the time and trouble to make sure we were happy with our stay and everything was to our satisfaction. They leave some very nice wine from the island for you to try which is a welcome gift after a long journey. If we return to Santorini we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The Villa was spectacular. We were a group of 5 on holiday in Santorini this summer. The mansion was perfect in that it was separated into 3 private living quarters. The studio apartment upstairs with living room, kitchenette and outside eating patio was perfect - and with a view! The master downstairs was unbelievably gorgeous and the 3rd studio off the courtyard was fantastic as well. We were blown away with the design and details put into this spectacular mansion. The incredible courtyard is split into seating areas for lounging, eating, swimming or just relaxing. Location was right in the heart of a small village with incredible restaurants. We had the time of our lives! Words can not even begin to describe the beauty of this gem!

I travel quite a bit with my job, and therefore, was not going to settle for just another hotel or renal house for a vacation home in Greece. I had to find a place that satisfied four very different personalities. We chose Santorini Views after many hours of research for your dream vacation to Greece. My descriptions could not describe the beauty of the villa; the pictures on the website speak for themselves. From pre-arrival planning of activities to local bakery recommendations, the managers were always professional and kind in offering information, and patient in dealing with first-time visitors to Greece. The villa was beautiful and in a superb location in the midst of a small village. I felt like we had stepped back in time, or at least to a different planet. Each day we visited a different town and beach. Our favorite turned out to the be the black beach, and the impeccable food and service at the Magic Bus. Owned and operated by Greek brothers, Perissa beach is a quick drive from the villa and one that you will want to make more than once. The only problem we encountered was the quality of the car that we had rented with the villa. However, after emailing and speaking with the manager on the phone, we had an acceptable car the next morning. His excellent attitude and service turned this experience around. Having three separate bedrooms, each suites in and of themselves, any group can have privacy and also come together in the many outside rooms, and den area upstairs. The house and grounds were beautifully furnished, very clean, and the two well-equipped kitchens were useful as we kept the fridges stocked with bottled water, wine from the fantastic small winery next door, and fresh feta and baked goods from the two local bakeries. We enjoyed the bakery just up the hill for breakfast and the one about a mile away toward Akrotiri each afternoon. There are several local restaurants and friendly neighbors and dogs. We loved not being in a hotel in crowded Fira or at the other end of the island in Oia. Megalochori, a perfect little village, Santorini Views and the manager gave us the vacation we needed. I hope to visit again one day, and will only stay at this place.
