My husband and I just enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Santorini Old Factory. Situated high up in the village of Pyrgos we enjoyed stunning views and peace and quiet. We stayed in the smallest room which is just perfect for 2 people with all the mod cons including free wifi, and a small self catering area so that we were able to make coffee and toast for breakfast. No expense has been spared on the restoration and the villa provides excellent daily cleaning and attentive onsite staff as well as a warm welcome with great restaurant recommendations. We hope to return there again. It would also be perfect for an extended family or large group holiday and to make use of the dining areas and communal kitchen.

Amazing place to stay and enjoy a relaxing vacation!! Architecture and design are modern and nice, service is perfect, staff is amazing, view is fantastic... very simply it's a place that feels like home! The only thing to know is that there is no generator in case of a black out (as it happened with us during the famous black out last August!), and that it is not directly accessible by car, there are 3 to 4 minutes walking distance to reach the villa and it's not very pleasant at 3 in the morning with the strong wind...! Anyways, we definitely recommend Santorini Old Factory! Perfect for couples and friends!

We stayed at the Santorini Old Factory for five nights. The villa is situated in Pyrgos village which is a beautiful small village away from all the tourist hassle. Pyrgos offers few great small restaurants and mini markets. It is only a good five minutes walk from the villa to the centre of Pyrgos which was really great. A rental car was included in our rate which was a nice bonus. There are public buses in Santorini but it was convenient to have a small car. It was only max five minutes walk from the parking spot to the villa instead of claims of a very long walk. Santorini has big elevation changes so expect a little climbing in steps in the whole island. This didn't bother me and my wife at all. The views from the villa are the best! So beautiful sunsets! The design of the rooms and the villa area are really nice. Modern but still having the traditional greek feeling. At the check-in we got really nice information from the staff about places to visit and see. This was very nice touch. At the room there were some complimentary food in the fridge like a bread, some yoghurt, juice. Everything else cost. But you can get everything you need from the mini markets in Pyrgos for cheaper. Santorini Old Factory's internet site says that every room has Bose sound system and an iPod dock. We couldn't find those in our room. Maybe the larger rooms have those. Our room was really suitable for a couple with a living room, bedroom and a bath. Only the bed was quite small. In the villa area there are two public pools and one private pool for the largest room. The water in the pool was freezing cold. Even on a hot day the water was too freezing to swim. There are also three patios with sun beds but only one has sunshades. It would be great to have at least one sunshade in all patios. There is a public area with a kitchen area. It would be great to have for example some board games there for the guests to loan. Bear in mind that in Santorini there might be really strong winds called Meltemi during the summer months blowing from north. The villa is facing north at a hill so we got the touch of the Meltemi. It was still really warm and sunny but after few days the Meltemi was a little bit of annoyance. When we were eating in Pyrgos village at the other side of the hill the winds were really calm there. We decided to take the breakfast deal. The house keeper was really friendly and made a breakfast for us. There was no certain time for the breakfast to be served. After waking up we asked for the breakfast. The breakfast included some bacon and scrambled eggs, toast, cake and fresh fruits with coffee and orange juice. One could also choose greek yoghurt instead of the bacon and eggs. It was quite expensive to have the breakfast so I would recommend to make your own breakfast. We had a really great stay at Santorini Old Factory. This place has huge potential but there are some small things which would make this place even better. The rate was really expensive so the value for the rate was not that great. For example one could expect to have the shampoo and shower gel bottles to be filled if running empty with the amount of money paid.
