We had a wonderful holiday at this villa. The location was stunning with views of the mountains from all around. The villa itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. Including pool towels, beach mats and an umbrella, fishing nets, clothes line and fully equipped kitchen. The pool was lovely and a great place to end every day while enjoying the views. The owner and her husband were so welcoming and gave great advice for the different tourist attractions. She even brought us a plate of freshly picked grapes one afternoon! The villa was air conditioned but we didn't need it much as there was a breeze at night. About a 15 minute drive to Heraklion. I highly recommend this villa.

We had a fabulous week here last summer, the most spectacular views and a lovely house which was very clean and comfortable. Lovely swimming pool and pretty surroundings. The owners were very friendly and helpful hosts (they were in one of the three houses, which are all situated in the same area). Our three children had a lovely time and we would definitely recommend it and come back!

My parents, sister and I spent two weeks at the beautiful villa in July. The location is lovely, high enough for a cool breeze and no mosquitoes, with panoramical views to die for. The proximity to Heraklion is fantastic, an easy 20-30 min from supermarkets, Knossos, the airport and the beaches. The local village of Pendamodi has a couple of lovely kafenions as well as a local shop. The villa itself is exquisitely decorated, with lovely thoughtful touches such as a bottle of wine on arrival and apricots in the fridge picked that day from the garden and fresh flowers in every room. The villa comes with everything - towels, cooking utensils and lilos etc. What really makes this place special though is the owner and her husband, for whom nothing is too much trouble. Whether it's coming with you to Avis to get a flat tyre changed or organizing your trip or showing you the little local restaurants, she goes above and beyond to ensure you have a good time, and really made this trip special. All in all, wonderful time, and will return. Total relaxation!

Just back from two weeks in this villa. I agree with all the other reviews, lovely accommodation, spectacular views, fab weather and no mosquitos! There are 3 villas dotted together at the top of the mountain in Pentamodi. The owner stayed in one of the villas and was on hand to do her utmost to make our stay perfect in every way. You must be aware that the location is a little remote though- perfect for us, but a trip anywhere involves a 20 minute winding drive down the mountain. Not something everyone would want to do. But once you're at the bottom you are perfectly placed to explore in any direction! Crete is such a beautiful Island- well worth a visit.

Two weeks in the villa and we didn't want to move on. If you want to visit Crete but don't want to be with the crowds on the coast and are prepared to hire a car then this could be the place for you. The comments in previous reviews are all accurate and true. Add a cooling breeze, the mountain background, peace and silence. The accommodation is excellent and the owner superb. She helped make the holiday so enjoyable. We would return without hesitation and would recommend this villa in Pendamodi.
