My boyfriend and I travelled to Dubrovnik for the first time this month. We have just arrived back in the UK after a brilliant stay at this apartment in Gruz. We were welcomed at around midnight (delayed flight) by one of the owners, who also live within the apartment premises. He was very welcoming, and told us everything we needed to know. The apartment itself was extremely clean and modern. Everything was beautifully presented, with nothing out of place. There was a good sized bedroom area with small kitchenette. The bathroom was very spacious, with ultra modern shower (which took some working out!). There was also a shared terrace which was lovely, and over looking a beautiful pool which was mostly quiet during the day, we only really saw two or three others use it during our 9 day stay. The room was cleaned daily, and fresh towels provided. The couple who own the property (and their beautiful dog) were very welcoming and offered us advice 24 hours a day if needed. One the day of departure, although we had to check-out at 10am they allowed us to stay (with bags) in their own apartment downstairs and use the facilities so we could enjoy a full day on the beach and still get comfortably changed for our flight. The location is close to both the Old City and nearby Lapad. Buses run every 10 minutes in both directions and cost 15 Kuna if bought from the driver. We found a beach on the walk from Gruz to the Old City - this walk itself took around 20 minutes and was a pleasant walk. To walk to Lapad would take us around 25 minutes, and was a little more tricky. We would definitely not hesitate to come back to this apartment!!

This apartment is the perfect place from which to explore wider Dubrovnik - Old Town, Lapad, Babin Kuk and Gruz. It's a 20 min walk with lovely coastal views to the Old Town. It's right net to the new port of Gruz, which is a pleasant harbour from which you can easily get the ferry to the neighbouring Elafiti Islands (a much cheaper option than the ubiquitous "3 island excursion with drinks and fish picnic"!). It is also a 15 minute walk to Lapad, with its beaches, coastal rocks and bars/restaurants, and is where most locals live. All of these places are easy to reach by bus, if the walk (or the heat!) is to much for you. We stayed for a week, giving us plenty of time to explore the whole city; something which would have been harder to do had we stayed in Old Town. The apartment is pristine and spacious, with a private balcony, excellent shower room and a small kitchenette. There is a lovely shared terrace area with a small swimming pool, perfect for cooling off or enjoying a siesta (recommended in summer!). The initial approach isn't too promising, being accessed from the neighbouring supermarket car park - but don't let that put you off! The high walls of the terrace make it nice and private and once inside, you'll forget you're in the middle of town. And having a supermarket next door (with an excellent in store bakery) is perfect for nipping out to get fresh bread and fruit for breakfast! The owner is very friendly and helpful. He greeted us personally with fresh orange juice (and something stronger if you wish!) He is more than happy to help with any arrangements, but isn't imposing at all. All in all, the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here and were really impressed. After arriving in Dubrovnik off the ferry at 7:00 in the morning, the owners met us, invited us into their house, gave us a drink, and allowed us to leave our bags with them until check in. We thought it was in a great location. 5 minutes from the ferry terminal, 15 minute walk to the old town and 15 minute walk to Lapad (although beware that the last two involve walking up, over and down a hill). Having a supermarket so close was a bonus. The rooms were very clean, beautifully presented and well equipped. The owners were happy to help us with ideas about where to go and what to do. They also offer a laundry service which was the cheapest we came across (€13) and our clothes was left neatly folded on our bed when we returned from our day out. The pool is reasonably small but more than sufficient unless your wanting to swim laps. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting the area.

Nothing I can add to the previous positive comments except endorsement. Terrific place to stay position, immaculate rooms, facilities and owners - so friendly and great to be able to self cater in comfort - nothing was too much trouble to make our stay pleasant and comfortable..convenient to the harbour, buses, taxis, ferry terminal and much nicer than staying in an ire sonar hotel. Five stars all the way from me!

Located 2 minutes walk from Gruz harbour and about 20 minutes walk from old town. Even though this sits a little out most people's boundaries, for us it was in a perfect location. It was a nice scenic walk into old town and it also meant that we had the beauty of the harbour right on our door step which had all necessary amenities around it. In addition Lapad was only a 10 minute walk away as well. The owners were lovely explaining the basics and recommending places to eat and visit on arrival and letting us know how to contact them whenever we needed. Facilities within the apartments were good with fridge freezer and stove. A small oven/microwave would be useful but we didn't eat in much so didn't affect us. The bathroom was lovely with a big multi function power shower. The apartment was cleaned thoroughly every day. The pool is small however fine to laze about in and cool off. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone for their first visit to Dubrovnik, close to pretty much everything, clean, comfy and owners that will help you in anyway possible.

Good location, walking distance from Old Town, Lapad, harbour. Big supermarket, shopping centers and bus stops also near. Room was lovely with own balcony, very clean and comfy. Owner super helpful and friendly. Definitely would stay again! Aircon/heating system was a bit noisy, so if you are light sleeper, you might want to use ear plugs.

Me and my girlfriend stayed two nights in this apartment. There is a large parking space at the back of the building. The apartment was spacious and clean. It comprised a double bed, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom with toilet and had a balcony. Leaflets and folders about Dubrovnik were available in the room. The building was conveniently located nearby the bus stop to the historic center and nearby a supermarket. In spite of the plan and photos the owner sent us in advance we had difficulty finding the apartment. Apparently the walls of the apartment are very thin. Every movement and word of our neighbours was audible, even though they were not particularly noisy. This prevented us from enjoying a good night sleep. The shower boasts a fancy massage function but is simply too small. I have an average build and felt the thing poking my back. A large person will simply not be able to close the doors. Towels were not changed on a daily basis. In conclusion, we consider the apartment okay for a couple of nights but would not recommend a longer term booking.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this lovely Apartment. The welcome was very warm and friendly, the apartment is very tastefully done, couldn't really fault. Good location 20 mins walk from Lapad and about 25 mins from the old town. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating even allowing us to use their private accommodation to store suitcases and freshen up before we left. Would definitely recommend and will stay again when we next visit Dubrovnik.

On arrival we were greeted with a full induction of where to go how to get there and leaflets to help-then the grappa arrived! The apartment is centrally placed easy to get to old town and the beaches - via bus or walk if you want I little exercise. The host recommends a local restaurant - we took him up on the suggestion however the staff were very rude so we left and ate further down the road which was fantastic. Great value - the pool is small don't expect to do lengths!

Very nicely decorated and comfortable apartment next to Tomy supermarket, but secluded, you'll not be aware of it once inside. Very nicely done external areas, nice to eat outside in intimate atmosphere. Very near bus to old town, a 5 minute trip and buses every few minutes. Couldn't fault it, though why have such a small pool passes me by!

It was surprisingly good place, considered the badmouthing it so badly. Master came to escort us to the apartment from Tommy (supermarket) carrying the heavy suitcase and let us to our room. Showed the places, pointed up that we don't accidentally turn off the boiler unit and Madame brought us the welcoming drinks with snacks. Everything went smoothly. Mornings went by, and every time with greetings, asking what we have been doing, is everything ok etc. Apartment itself was lovely and we enjoyed it fully. Kitchenette well equipped, even TEA found in the cabinet! Bathroom was awesome and the shower cabinet WASN'T small...we turn the shower coming from the ceiling and even my 100kg husband didn't complain it was a small.... Warm water was enough every time! Towels were good too, we have had same kind of towels in better hotels too, so they did the drying well and were changed 3 times in our week stay. Bed was really good to sleep, although we did like sleep the window open so the noise from street down was pretty loud and there are MOSQUITOS in the area! So if you don't have plug-in repellent, buy one from Tommy, cost less than 50 kunas with 10 cartriges, lasts for 10 days then. WI-FI worked SUPERB the whole time! Could download pics every evening and send them too. Poolside was GREAT, after hot day stroll in the city, what better cooling place than the pool? Sunbeds were located downstairs from end of the pool and there ones could easily take few hours FULL sun. Without interruptions. We didn't have any view, but we did like to watch next buildings cats in their actions....the balcony was shared, but that wasn't any problem either. The card key to the main gate wasn't a problem if one would leave indoors, WHO wants to watch TV in there? You could sit in the balcony in the evening using a laptop and just enjoy, so that wasn't a problem either, you just let the other half inside and continue yourself back to where ever you need to go.....hubby watched football near by sportsbar, upper street like 50m, 777 was it called. Apartment has even safe in the wall, didn't need it, we had laptop in bedside table or dresser the whole week, my jacket's inside pocket was holding cash, and other items we had lying here and there, nothing was taken.......they do have CCTV cameras in the area too...... The only thing that was bothering us, was the 19 rules in the wall, pissed me off for 3 days.. BUT the morning we left, nextdoor girls from our eastern neighbour country were left their room as a pigstyde....they were cleaning after these girls, over 2 hrs!!!! The girls did what they wanted, so we end up using earplugs.....it's an easy, cheap way to ensure that you can sleep, if someone don't respect the common sense or rules.....Feel really sorry for the owners that there can be guests that don't give a toss for somebody else's property or other guests either...... Would definitely go back! BTW, I accidentally broke a wine glass and I didn't have a mouthfull from the madame, only that "well they get broken, don't you worry about the glass, they are meant to be used, so of course accidents happens"...... We got our luggage storaged in their house, got ride to airport too !!! So, thanks for LOVELY holiday!
