We just had a big family reunion at this and another villa and wanted to say what a beautiful villa it is. it's not the most toddler -friendly villa in the world, but if you've got kids from say 4 upwards who are pretty water savvy it's just great. The Villa's got a great pool for jumping into and stunning views of the ocean. From the Balé, you can watch the kids and the ocean at the same time while sipping your wine with ease. There are steps at the side of the beach section of the villa to climb down to the sea for snorkelling (which is really good, but watch the drift) but beach shoes would make it easier. The Villa's also really cool (literally and figuratively) as it gets the breezes off the sea, which was lacking at the other villa. The master bedroom and ensuite are beautiful - the bath has to be seen to be believed - and there's room for a cot in the upstairs dressing room. The two guest rooms are also beautiful and can be made up as doubles or twins and each has their own ensuite and the obligatory air conditioning. The Villa has everything you can want, including satellite tv, music and even a bar (though it's a tad rusty having been subjected to the salt air for a little while). Plus it has the most wonderful staff led by the extremely affable and helpful Ketut. While Komang's nasi goring is simply one of the best in the world. It is an ocean front villa so you can tell it does get battered a bit by the elements, so there's a bit of prettifying required - and you should probably take your own snorkelling equipment - but for the price you're paying this is sooo worth it! Honestly, you're just completely spoiled and it's only a five minute, NZ$3 taxi fair into the centre of Candidasa if you fancy a bit of shopping, eating out or a dive trip or something. Definitely a big thumbs up from this NZ contingent.

We stayed here for a week. There were 6 adults. We had a great time the villa is beautiful and quiet. The pool is great there is access to the beach but the seas was quite choppy all week so we didn't go out there. The staff are very good and are unintrusive, they work around you. The food was very good we did have a few meals in the villa. They organized a seafood bbq and a cake for a birthday celebration, which was very good. The black rice pudding was excellent and better than we had in some restaurants.
