Train: Malaysia has a modern and comfortable railway service run over two lines and is convenient and economical. Foreigners can purchase rail passes that entitle the holder to unlimited rail travel for allocated time periods.

Bus: The Malaysian Peninsula has a fantastic bus service. Many routes are air-conditioned and operate between major destinations. The bus service in Malaysia is an economical and reasonable mode of transport.

Car & Motorcycle: Malaysian roads are generally of a high standard and driving on the Malaysian Peninsula is relatively easy compared to other Asian countries. Road rules are similar to Australia and Britain and cars are right-hand drive.

Boat: Boats and ferries operate between The Malaysian Peninsula and the islands. Do not board if the boat looks overloaded.

Taxi: Taxi’s are efficient and convenient. Although compared to other modes of transport taxis’ are relatively expensive. Try to negotiate with drivers for better fares.
