The villa is a unique and luxurious place to stay in Galle. A primary location within the old fort, a quietness which allows a complete rest, a very efficient staff (especially the chef, who cooks magnificent dinners, tasty and full of invention, served very nicely in your plate!). We travelled to Galle with some friends for a chilled long weekend, we couldn’t have picked a better sport right in the heart of the old fort. This period house has a very alfresco feel to it. The standard of finish is very high the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the pool is inviting. There was also 5 staff on hand to help with whatever we required, they cooked superb food, we chose to have a bbq evening and then the following night a sea food BBQ, both were lovely, well worth the trip to Galle. Would recommend to any group, when you spread the cost it is surprising good value for money.

It's one of those places you really want to keep as your own secret, as it's just wonderfully relaxing and private. Hesitated to stay in the Fort as I know it gets very hot and is quite cramped, but this place is beautifully airy and comfortable. Good chef, lovely staff and decent pool. Thoroughly recommended!

This Villa was the best accommodation we had on our recent holiday, by far. We had five staff looking after us and they were all courteous and had smiling faces all the time. The location was also excellent in the Fort, providing many good walks. Only a short Tuk Tuk ride to the shopping areas outside the fort. The rooms were all spacious and very comfortable. The a/c worked and the Mossies weren't bad. We did not need the nets over our beds. The plunge pool was adequate and all we needed to cool off. Our meals were really cheap as the Chef took our orders, purchased the necessary groceries and only charged us what he paid for them. The preparation was all included in the rental cost. I would gladly recommend this venue for your holiday...Perhaps I should keep it a secret!!!

From the moment you enter The Ambassador's House, you know you have made the right choice. Located in the heart of Galle Fort, the villa is luxurious without being overwhelming and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. The meals prepared by the resident chef are fantastic, whether it's breakfast (which is included in the rental price) or any of the dishes available from the extensive menu for lunch and dinner (you pay for the ingredients and then leave the rest up to the chef). Overall, a brilliant experience and highly recommended.

We stayed 2 night in this super villa. The house was very spacious and comfortable. Rooms tastefully furnished, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent. We ordered our food for each meal, the staff shopped for what ever was needed and produced a good meal. Location was very good. Lots of shops around. Only thing we missed was a beach especially for the kids.
