We stayed in this hotel during our honeymoon in Portugal and it was an amazing experience. The personnel knew about the fact that we just got married and made everything possible to make our stay unforgettable. They even made us find a nice surprise in our room with a bottle of sparkling wine and some sweets! The location was amazing and the swimming pool really relaxing. Moreover the restaurant dishes were delicious. Definitely a place we would recommend to everybody travelling to Serra da Estrella and where we will definitely come back.

We arrived much later than expected due to a nightmare drive in seriously torrential rain! Hotel had already called us on route to see if we were OK.. which was very considerate. We pulled into the car park in heavy rain & a staff member brought a large umbrella to escort us in. How nice was that! We were travelling from the Algarve with our Border Terrier heading for Santander and chose this place because it was positively reviewed & "dog friendly". It's also close to the motorway & Spanish border. This is a well thought out hotel in a wonderful setting. Our room was extremely well appointed & comfortable. Superb late dinner in the restaurant with all food & wine sourced from the hotel's own grounds. Breakfast was extensive and as good as it gets! Very welcoming staff, secure parking, great food, excellent accommodation and seriously dog friendly this is our perfect stopover for our frequent journey's to & from Carvoeiro.

This Hotel is surrounded with natural beauty, vine yards, farming, animals. Rooms are very clean and we had a beautiful view to the pool and mountains, you just can feel your stress disappear. Breakfast was very good, very unusual place, but in a very nice way!

We found this hotel as a last minute google search. And boy we are glad we found it. It is a little difficult to find, as it's not actually in Gouveia, but rather a little village about 4km away. You need to enter Vinho into the GPS and from the village centre, follow the signs. The hotel is therefore a little out of the way and not near anything. If you are wanting nightlife, restaurants, this hotel is not for you. However, if you want simply a fantastic night in a beautiful hotel, great service, food, rooms, in a magical location, then this is the place for you. The service is exceptional. You are treated as an individual guest and not just one of many. All the rooms front onto a pool, surrounded by vineyards, and farms. Everything is brand new (and apparently it is, only 2 years old). While there is only one restaurant, the dinner was great and beautifully presented, while the breakfast was also great. The hotel sits on a farm and once out the doors, everything feels rural, with vineyards, sheep, farm sheds etc. This is no-way detracts from the stay, but rather enhances it. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience rural Portugal while staying in a high-quality hotel.

This small hotel, 10 rooms and 2 other short distant, is exactly what one needs to hide away from everything! Great rooms, well decorated, staff if exceptional and make you fell like home. We will definitely return as soon as possible. They have a farm for guests to visit though we didn't as we had a little baby. We stayed in the suite, great room with living room. The breakfast is unique: exceptionally well presented, fresh products, very good variety, home made cake, cheese, etc. you will not forget their breakfast for a long time!!! After all, hotels are also a lot about breakfast! The swimming pool is very relaxing, you can stay there for hours alone,no noise, just sun and the nature. The facilities are greatly maintained! We hope this hotel will start to have more guests as the reviews stand up, it's definitely an excellent choice for those looking for a relaxing country side hideaway. We loved it! Negative side is finding it in the dark at late night, not much water pressure in the shower, short availability of pool menu and quite slow pool service as we were alone in the hotel. The room service charge € 10 is quite high. Will look forward to come back again!! Do yourself a favor and visit this place for a couple nights!! Dine in close by Cova do Lobo restaurant - 30 minutes drive!

My husband and I stayed only one night, sadly, as we were just resting from our drive to the Douro Valley from Lisbon. This hotel is a GEM. Service was lovely, friendly, and simply perfect. The location was serene and rooms elegant and modern with views of the pool and fields beyond. The farm is an adventure in itself. The dog sanctuary with 75 rescued strays on site is a special treat for dog lovers but out of sight for non-dog lovers. We had so much fun the full morning we were there that I'd consider going back to Portugal just to visit.
