It can sometimes be a gamble booking your holiday accommodation online. However, I can truthfully say that for our recent family 10 day holiday, we did indeed hit the jackpot by selecting Unit 11/11A The Beeches, Queenstown. We were greeted on arrival by our property manager, Juliet and were made most welcome. Her friendliness plus the wealth of information that she was able to impart to us proved to be the introduction to our amazing stay in Queenstown. Our selected apartment was on 3 levels with a subflat with it’s own facilities beside it. On entry, the apartment was heated warmly and very welcoming. The 5 bedrooms all had their own ensuites, very comfy beds, carpeted floors, and wall heaters. The kitchen and living area were on the top level and had ample room for quite a number of persons. A large gas heater plus a large wall heater ensured that the apartment was quite comfortable temperature wise. The icing on the cake for us all was the magnificent view. Literally breathtaking. The front balcony and the large windows in the apartment ensured that we had a constant view of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu, the Skyline Gondola and the surrounding snow-capped peaks. Watching the sky change in its morning and evening glory had to be seen to be believed. The apartment had a side entrance gate which provided easy access when coming and going down to the Queenstown pubs/eateries. The walk down to town was of only a few minutes. The walk back up Ballarat Street required some effort for the more elderly of us .. however, taxis were always available as a backup if the need arose. Our family had a fabulous holiday and our selected accommodation went a long way to ensuring that. I would personally like to thank our property manager Juliet, for the special way that she looked after us. It was truly appreciated. I trust that at some stage down the track we might be able to do a return visit.

Ideal location with amazing view from the living area. Perfect for a large group and each room having their own bathroom. Modern appliances with everything you need to cook your own meals. Highly recommend to anyone considering staying in Queenstown and only a short walk to the town.

Convenient location and good amenities, however this is NOT suitable accommodation for 14 and is mis-leading to sell it as such. The downstairs studio is tiny, separating this in to 2 "rooms" is inappropriate, lacks sufficient privacy and potentially breaches building code standards. The accommodation experience was very substandard for the two couples we had sleeping in the downstairs studio, and our 14th person had to sleep on the couch as there was no room to put up the fold-out bed provided for them. We contacted the property manager who was unwilling to acknowledge that there was an issue or provide any compensation. A very disappointing experience.

The only problem was the parking bay for unit 11. Terrible for any smaller car due to the height of the mount on entrance and difficult for any taller vehicle due to this also.

It's all about the location. What a grand view of the lake. Just a few blocks down the hill to the Mall and the heart of Queenstown. (Although a cab back up the hill might be recommended for older folks.) Juliet Fraser was a great help to us. She recommended restaurants, made reservations and even baked a birthday cake for our 9-year old granddaughter. Watching the New Year in from the balcony was a terrific experience. The outdoor grill was great. The kitchen was smallish but well-equipped with a large fridge and a dishwasher. (Sharper kitchen knives would have been appreciated.) The living room furnishings were comfortable and had plenty of seating for our large group. Overall, this is an Amazing Accom that we would come back to and can recommend to others.

Amazing accommodation. We had a big group and it easily accommodated all of us including 2 one year olds, 3 under five and an eight year old, plus a multitude of adults. Great location close to town, limited parking on site, but plenty on street front. Steep walk up hill home, but worth it for the amazing view from the living room. Juliette the manager of the property was amazing and super helpful throughout the whole stay. Definitely recommend this place to all types of groups. And the spa was a total bonus!

We were a group of 14 ( first time we had all travelled together) we had a mixed age group of kids, young kids and teenagers and 6 adults. THe accommodation suited us all perfectly with a room for the little ones and a room for the teens and each room having adequate space for them to "hang out in" whislt the parent's enjoyed the lounge and fire place to relax after a day of skiing and adventures. The facilities we fantastic, very well equipped with modern appliances. Comfortable furniture and bedding in each room. We were more than pleased with the services of the manager, who was fantastic and extra helpful. It was centrally located with a short walk to town, close to shops and all the offerings of Queenstown. A fantastic facility that will be hard to beat at any other destinations.

We stayed to 4 nights for our sons wedding with 3 generations - 85 down to 21 - it worked so well! With every bedroom having an ensuite it gave everyone total privacy and their own space and having the self contained flat area downstairs the younger ones were away from the older ones. Amazing outlook, fabulous place, kitchen had everything you could need. Juliet was great to deal with. Highly recommend this place for a great family break.

We rented this property and another property at the same location to accommodate most of the players (and a few parents) of a Junior Ice Hockey Team. The boys and the parents were absolutely "wrapped" in the accommodation. There was plenty of space - we had 10 people in each of the properties and it did not feel crowded. The room/ensuite configuration was perfect for groups or a couple of families. Excellent view and the property manager was very friendly and helpful. The property is close to town so we walked most of the time. Please note that the walk home does involve a short but steep hill which the boys ran up but us "Oldies" had to have a rest break halfway - good exercise after a great meal in Queenstown (it justifies the ice-cream on the way home). Would definitely stay again.

Thanks for a great few days in Queenstown. What a great property. The location was superb - very easy walking distance to everything. The view amazing. The apartment had everything you could want - the kitchen was extraordinarily well equipped for a rental property and that many people - we were 14! It was spotlessly clean and well maintained.
