Wow! What an absolutely stunning home and captivating view. I fell in love as soon as I arrived and definitely did not want to leave! Only 7 minutes drive to the city and very well priced for the standard of luxury accommodation. Thank you Dave for being so considerate and understanding, you helped make our stay so relaxing. I have been harping on about this property to anyone that will listen and would honestly rebook this house in a heart-beat.

Our stay was fabulous. The house is absolutely comfortable and well presented. The views are fantastic and loved massive glass doors that can be opened to fresh air - bring your binoculars if you have a pair. Why stay in a hotel when you can have the freedom and space of a whole house which is appointed with top quality linen and fittings. Even the pantry had really useful things and we cooked some great meals at home. We would love to have stayed longer and will return to the house if we are back in Taupo. The hosts were caring and helpful after the booking and during our stay. We have no hesitation to recommend this house.

Lost for words - this house was simply WOW! Stunning house and views. We absolutely loved our stay and didn't want to leave. Location is a little out of town away from crazy tourist atmosphere which suited us - it was nice and private and very peaceful at night. I enjoyed sitting outside in the evening enjoying the view! Beautifully appointed with great care and attention to detail and access to everything we needed. Also great value for a family of six.

How true is the saying 'you don't know what is on your own door step' so when our friends from Paris spent the summer in New Zealand and stayed at this Acacia Bay residence and highly recommended it we thought we should see for ourselves, and what a treat! From the moment the car stops at the top of the driveway and you see the view over the lake you spend your time at this stunning, modern house, mesmerized by the views. The house is beautifully appointed with every modern convenience AND views. The house is spacious, with luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms AND views. Enjoying the inside dining area one almost imagines you are outside no matter what the weather conditions AND views! The internal courtyard provides a tranquil space to escape and the front deck allows you to soak up the stunning views. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences including a butlers pantry for hiding all preparation mess until you are ready to face it. For a relaxing week or weekend away we highly recommend this stunningly beautiful home with views to die for!

We really enjoyed our time in this wonderful, comfortable, stylish and modern, fully equipped home which is perched on the gentle slopes of Acacia Bay overlooking beautiful lake Taupo. This stunningly designed “glass” house faces east and every room is bathed in morning sunshine. The relaxing view over the lake, city and mountains is timeless, mesmerizing and everchanging. The way that the house is designed makes you feel as though you are a part of the view that sweeps out and down from the house. The complete privacy just adds to the ambiance. We enjoyed exploring the area and found lots to do: we are golfers so had a choice of four great courses within 10 minutes drive (two world renowned courses), we enjoy walking so the local famous café, L'Arte (great coffee and creamy scrambled eggs) with its collection of locally made sculpture and quirky artworks was only a 15 minute walk. The local bar/brasserie is at the bottom of the hill, 5 minutes walk away. The popular mountain bike/walking track from Little Acacia Bay to Kinloch (a must see western village) is a 5 minute drive. Taupo town has everything you need – great restaurants/cafes, lots of tourist attractions. The outdoor BBQ area is great so instead of always eating out it was great to chill out on the deck and enjoy a glass of good wine and take in the town lights - doesn’t get any better anywhere in the world. We would thoroughly recommend this home, not just as a base for your visit but as a home for your visit.
