Spent two nights in the Guest House at Amazing View House. This amazing property sits high above rolling hills and the ocean with very efficient hosts. Two private bedrooms, separate living area, a fully equipped sized kitchen, and plenty of room for luggage. Quick WiFi and Sky TV are a bonus. Very nicely tiled bathroom with tub and separate shower. Charming hosts, excellent communicators, and very knowledgeable of what to do in the area. The guest house is a superior value for this very high quality lodging.

The location, our hosts, the guest house itself were perfect. The online photos are a good proxy but the house itself an outstanding. We could not have asked for a more perfect accommodation.

We spent four nights in March in the Guest House, which sits high on a hillside above the owner's house and has a more than 180 degree open view of the ocean, offshore islands, pasture and woods, plus beautiful sunsets. Even watching rain showers approach was beautiful from the deck of the Guest House. The setting is completely private - the only noise you hear may be the kiwis at night. The house itself has two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a dining/living area plus a great deck. Everything we needed was there and the property overall was in excellent shape. Eating dinner on the deck with the view in front of and below us was a treat every night - we could have stayed a month and that would not have gotten old. Even though it's halfway around the world for us, we most definitely hope to return.

We stayed at the Guest House . It is high up the hill with great view of the ocean and everything . Waking up to such a great view and tranquility every morning was wonderful . It has 2 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with a view . The kitchen was well stocked with most of the stuff you need (olive oil, salt , flour, tea, sugar etc ). Host lives just about 50m down the hill. 20 mins drive from Whangarei town , but we didn't mind at all even having to drive in and out everyday. You could take a walk into the woods behind the Guest House . You could also climb up the hill . Ocean beach is about 15 mins drive away . We heard kiwi at night, but couldn't find them. Very private accommodation and we loved it ! It would be perfect if there is a washer in the unit.

The Guest House was designed with infinite care, set in a breathtaking natural landscape and equipped with all one requires for a truly relaxing stay. It has been cared for immaculately and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Suggest you stock up on groceries in Whangarei and retreat to the Guest house. Plenty of walks from the house, short drives to magnificent beaches and of course ever changing scenery laid out before you. With music, games, books, Sky TV (although not needed) and comfortable beds it is hospitality at its best.The Owners communicated quickly and efficiently by email. They greeted us and showed us through the house then left us to enjoy their wonderful Guest house. We stayed over Easter weekend so enjoyed the Whangarei Heads Arts Trail. This was an opportunity to enjoy local artists work.
