Tranquil Escape in Marrakech is a wonderful home from home. It’s a luxurious, gorgeously decorated country house with a great swimming pool and extensive grounds complete with hammocks, cats, and two huge friendly dogs. We felt like we were visiting old friends and enjoyed chatting with the other guests, staff and owners. The staff were amazing – we felt truly looked after for our whole stay. They take their food seriously – we ate here twice and loved both meals. We did make the mistake of trying to eat the entire salad course on the first night (the dishes were very tasty) and then struggled with the main! For our second meal, the Tagine of chicken with vermicelli noodles, cinnamon and sugar was stunning (the best dish of our holiday). Breakfasts were also great: fresh, interesting and copious. They grow or home-make much of their food – the fresh yogurts with orange blossom were extraordinary (we’re now planning to buy our own yogurt maker as a result). I’m a keen foodie and following my constant barrage of questions about Moroccan food, we were presented with a small tub of their home preserved lemons to take away. Such a nice touch! There is a huge selection of DVDs and it was so nice at the end of a long day’s sight-seeing to relax with a movie. For the transfer from airport, be prepared to haggle or let the hotel organise it for you (we managed to get 200 dhs which felt like an achievement). They will happily arrange excursions into Marrakech for you. We had a return taxi for a Medina trip that included a stop at the Ensemble Artisanal for 250 dhs – significantly cheaper than we would have been able to arrange ourselves.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Tranquil Escape in Marrakech. We had exclusive use of the whole retreat for me and my guests. Owners and all the staff made us feel so welcome and were so accommodating to our needs. Our stay was so comfortable and memorable. We all had a wonderful time which is a testament to the friendly welcome and great hospitality. The quality of the meals was excellent as we chose to have dinner there for the 3 nights we stayed there.

Having already stayed here when we visited Marrakech a few years ago, this time we just used Tranquil Escape as a staging post on our trip back to Casablanca airport. This house is easy to find from the motorway as it is near a feeder road to one of the motorway exits, though about 16km from the exit. What a great place for a stopover! Once inside the walls you are surrounded by a citrus fruit orchard. The suites are large and comfortable, the evening meal delicious and copious, the staff very welcoming and the owners charming. What more could you want?

The staff at Tranquil Escape in Marrakech are faultless. Guys in the restaurant are charming, with a competent light touch and always very helpful. The chef, produced the best food we had in Morocco which made us happy when we did move in to the Medina, to feel vindicated in eating all our meals at Tranquil Escape in Marrakech whilst staying there. A great place for families with children as there are gardens to roam in. The pool is still cold in mid March, but will warm up as the weather does. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. While the food was excellent a more expensive wine list would be nice, although I think the wine offerings all around Morocco were for the most part limited to Moroccan wine, which is expensive considering the quality. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Our family of 5 (Grandma, Mum, Dad and 2 kids) had 2 rooms at Tranquil Escape in Marrakech. The rooms were beautiful, full of lovely artwork and antiques, and very peaceful. The staff were a delight and extremely helpful with anything that you would require. Breakfast was delicious, a large selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurts and omelette, with fresh juice from the surrounding orchard. We ate at Tranquil Escape in Marrakech twice and it was without doubt a wonderful dining experience. We all loved staying at this guest house, and would highly recommend staying here. The owner, a native of Morocco, was full of helpful recommendations be it shopping for art, fine dining or a great terrace for a coffee. Be in no doubt that part of this house's charm is its remote location but it's an easy taxi ride from the guest house to the bustle of the city.

My wife and I wanted excellent food, wine, room, service and Spring sun in a tranquil setting with easy access to Marrakech. Fortunately that sums up what a week at Tranquil Escape in Marrakech provides - in spades. But it doesn't quite describe the care which the owner and his staff took in making sure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The place hums with a calm efficiency. Not corporate efficiency. It's personal. The staff at hand at any time to help, always with a smile. Leading and pulling the strings is owner who makes it all look easy, which it isn't.

We loved everything about our stay at Tranquil Escape in Marrakech - it was a wonderful place to spend a few days relaxing and exploring. Nothing is too much for the staff, their welcome and their warmth second to none. The food was some of the best we have ever had on holiday - home grown, organic, made with expertise, inspiration and love. We had no desire to eat anywhere else when a different and delicious 5 course feast was served at the villa every evening. We loved our room, the colours, the quirky art, the attention to detail evident everywhere. The orange blossom was in full flower during our stay, and we delighted in sitting in the orchard soaking up the gorgeous scents and listening to the sounds of the birds and the bees - not everybody's idea of bliss, but we loved it. Tranquil Escape in Marrakech may not be the height of luxury, but it has real class - a unique and special place to stay.

Excellent location, a quiet beautiful oasis. Excellent food, better then the restaurants in Marrakech serve. Excellent personnel, kind and willing to do anything we could wish for. Excellent rooms, clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities, wifi, pool towels, pedicure, manicure, massage, etc. Excellent organization, transfers, taxi's, reservations. Just excellent!

Tranquil Escape in Marrakech is in many ways the perfect place to go to with a group of friends (or family). This year it was my second time I went to this villa. They offer outstanding service, delicious food, spacious rooms, great staff, and a lovely pool and garden. A welcome oasis after a crazy day in the souk. They can help in planning trips with guides, transportation, and other ideas. It feels like home!
