We stayed at this villa 3 weeks in October and had a really enjoyable stay, many thanks to the beautiful villa with all its lovely qualities and the great follow-up and hospitality we received from the owners. The check-in and check-out procedures were easy and smooth, from the concierge met us at the airport upon arrival till we left the gate three weeks later. The villa was spotless upon arrival - as it also was after the cleaning and laundry service twice a week during our stay. The villa's high qualities are sustained throughout - including the very nice interior decoration and amenities, the lovely terraces, the beautiful and well-kept garden and not at least the fantastic swimming pool. It was also fun and practical to be able to pick fresh tomatoes, peppers, salads, limes and grapes from the garden! The outdoor barbecue was frequently used in the evening. We travelled with small kids and the villa was very suitable for our needs. The pool was excellent with its separated child area and shades. Upon our request, the owners kindly supplied many outdoor toys for the children, e.g. a play house, a slide, swings etc. The location was nice with lovely views of the sea and the small village of Kolymbari. Although not a very picturesque village, we learned to appreciate the charm of the day-to-day life in Kolymbari during our stay. Unfortunately the road was not very suitable for walking, so a car was needed to drive the 1-2 kilometers to the village. Chania was only 15-20 mins away, and the beautiful Falasarna beach about 30 mins. All in all the villa and the services exceeded our expectations and gave our stay a touch of luxury - we can highly recommend a stay at this place!

Last friday we came back from a one week stay in this villa in sunny Crete. What a splendid week we had! The villa exceeded our expectations. The whole villa smelled fresh and was very clean, we felt instantly at home. Every detail is taken care of. The beds are excellent, perfect showers with view (!) There are in fact a lot of views in this beautiful house, even the bbq has a window with a gorgeous view! The gardens are meticulously taken care of and beautiful. The lemons from the lemon tree were amazing and we made drinks and lovely desserts with them. There is every opportunity to enjoy the sunny climate of Greece. We admire the owners who put there soul in this place and felt privileged that we could enjoy this. This is a holiday destination we hopefully return to soon.

The owner's hospitality is beyond expectations. We were greeted with homemade Raki and fresh cucumbers from the garden, along with a basket of homemade olive oil, wine, raki, herb tea mix, honey and jams. The villa is beautiful, very clean with all the comforts of home. The outdoor space is private, pool sparkling, and gardens beautiful. The usable vegetable garden and fruit trees were a treat and added to many of our Cretan meals. The location gives you expansive views of coastline, olive trees and the village Kolympari below. We walked to this village for pastries, groceries and memorable meals in restaurants next to the sea. It was very hard to leave, and look forward to my next visit.

We have had a perfect holiday - redolent of beauty, substance - a delight from start to finish. The owner and her husband have created a haven which is as marvellous inside as out. Situated in an olive grove and with a garden featuring fresh limes, lemons, fruits, vegetables, as well as roses, hibiscus and jasmine, we often had to pinch ourselves to realize it was real. Indeed the garden, the pool, the views, the sea, the house itself created a backdrop of enchantment. The house itself is a joy. Immaculate, perfectly furnished - and with great good taste - stocked with anything anyone could possibly desire - what a joy. None of us wanted to leave. As for the owner and her family, their hospitality was extraordinary. Really beyond words. They were available to answer our questions, give us guidance and direction but only as we needed. Their hospitality defined the concept. Their graciousness, too. Her daughter met us at the airport and guided us brilliantly through the car rental process and then gave us a fascinating tour of the village of Kolymbari. We were smitten from the moment we landed with a sense of gladness and well-being. Not one bit surprising given our guides. Our thanks for a splendid holiday. We will be back! In the mean time, we carry with us a present memory of wonder and appreciation. I must add we loved the village of Kolymbari. Wonderful places to eat - esp. Argentina, which we went to several times - a fascinating and beautiful monastery, a lovely little beach; and it was within easy distance of all sorts of wonderful places to visit. I can't think of a village in this part of Crete where we would rather have been living.

What a dream!! The house, the view, garden, pool, absolutely everything has exceeded our expectations. We have spent an unforgettable week at this villa. Everything fits perfect and you feel the loving details of the owners. The warm and bright friendly welcome gave us immediately the feeling of being at home. The owners have created a jewel at Crete, and we can only be thankful that the both of them share it with their guests. We say thank you again! Thank you for everything and we would love to come back any time but then for a longer stay!

We would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Crete. The villa is a lovely size, high spec, nicely furnished and every little detail has been thought about. You ideally need a car even to get into the nearby village but its such a lovely villa we didn't want to leave for long. The owner was lovely and very helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed plus some well received extras including local wine, home made preserves and olive oil. We were also able to benefit from the produce grown in the gardens including melons, tomatoes, courgettes to name a few. We would not hesitate to return and hope we will next year.

A group of 5 of us recently spent a week at this villa. It was everything we had imagined and more. The pictures just do not do this place justice. It is magnificent! The property, the grounds, the garden, the infinity pool - everything was perfect and exceptionally well adorned. We were only a short drive away from a Super Market but with the wonderful gardens, we had complete access to all the fresh vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.) that we could ever imagine, herbs (oregano, rosemary, chives, etc.) and their pomegranate and limes were the best I have ever tasted! Because the place was so beautiful, with such a magnificent view, we had a hard time pulling ourselves away from the Villa. The outdoor space is heavenly!! That said, I would highly recommend visiting Chania, a 20 minute drive from the Villa, as it is beautiful. The property was clean, well maintained, spacious and super comfortable for 5 adults to live together easily. The owners were very accommodating, and always accessible. The owner was quick to respond to all of our questions and offered assistance and useful information in every way possible. We were greeted with an amazing welcome basket complete with home-made Raki, Wine, Honey, Marmalade, Olive Oil and Lemonade. Both owners were very warm and hospitable. I would highly recommend this property to any friend or relative looking for a place to stay in Crete. Thank you for making our stay that much more pleasant!

Splendid villa in beautiful garden with nice pool and view. Caught some hot autumn sun in October. Had a great stay! The villa is perfect for discovering Western Crete. Located close to the village of Kolymbari, but you will need a car to get around. Facilities are modern and the villa is well kept and clean. Vegetable garden and the local welcome basket are delicious! The host family is very welcoming and helps guests to make the most of the stay at this villa. Absolutely recommend!

Not only is the house beautiful, comfortable and charming but the village in which it is located is a gem as well. The people are lovely, the history abundant and the food is fabulous. And if that is not enough for you the five star hotel down the road has a first rate spa. Perfection!

This is, quite simply, the best villa we have ever visited. It is luxurious, with splendid views, and the owners are charming people who do their best to make us feel welcome. The only drawback is that it is a mile from bars and tavernas but that also means it is very peaceful. I strongly recommend it for a relaxed comfortable holiday.

Our first visit to Crete has completely won us over not least because of this stunning villa. Easy to find, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and her husband who were justifiably proud of this beautiful home. An exceptionally high standard of decor and fittings, it had the feel of a luxury hotel but the comfort of a home. The bedrooms are very pretty, the kitchen spacious and well equipped. The outdoor eating area and pool is stunning, the loungers comfortable and there is plenty of shade for pale Brits! The gardens are lovely and the owner actively encouraged us to use the produce grown in the kitchen garden. We more or less prepared an evening meal with the freshly picked aubergine, courgette, tomatoes and chillies - fantastic. The only point to make is that while it is 1.5k from Kolymbari, it is not walkable. This takes you to the outskirts of the village (very well stocked with supermarket, butcher, baker etc) but it is another few km to the harbour and tavernas. However, the taxi firm is very reasonable and reliable! Would 100% recommend this villa for a relaxing and comfortable holiday in a lovely spot.

We spent a wonderful week in sumptuous surroundings. The Villa is tastefully designed and beautifully situated overlooking Kolymbari. It has picturesque views from every aspect to both the mountains and the sea. What makes the stay at this villa special however, is the personal touch from the Villa owners and an extra delight is the free use of the vegetable garden with its organic produce and herbs. I'd recommend this Villa to anyone who wants to both rest in and explore Western Crete.
