This "Chateau" was rustic and nice, and it was a pleasure to stay at such a special vacation home. The castle is furnished with old furniture which suits the castle very well. The property was clean and well maintained, but during our stay, one of the bathrooms was closed off because of disfunction. We were 12 friends staying at the castle, and we had plenty of space. It was well equipped for cooking and even though some of the cups were a bit "beaten up". The castle had a very friendly "madame". She help us with all practical questions and was available for cleaning up and helping in the kitchen. We had a wonderful stay at this Chateau.

We went with a group of 12 friends and had a really enjoyable trip. The Castle was furnished to the period it was built in, which was great to see. It was close enough to head to Belgium for a day trip (only 25 minutes away) as well as a tour of the famous champagne houses (about 1.5 hours away). It does take a bit of time to drive from Calais, but was worth it. It was around a 10 minute drive from the main town which has multiple supermarkets and restaurants.

The fact that it hadn't been over developed. It was very charming and the bedrooms were lovely. If you want state of the art bathrooms and fittings, it's not your place but if you fancy a real Spanish canon ball wedged in your shower wall, then this is the place for you. Lovely gardens and once inside the tree lined road entrance it's another world. Nothing really because I wasn't expecting a modern hotel room complete with TV.

Very interesting history. Nice building, lovely garden with apple orchard and nicely kept. Nice homemade breakfast. Freshly squeezed apple juice, and home made marmalade and jam. Very hospital staff. No restaurant and could not find anywhere nice to dine at night. Do not expect modern hotel luxury.
