The house was exactly as promised; everything is updated, modern, and very comfortable. There are so many wonderful living spaces inside and out, it was hard to leave for the day, and exciting to return to after a long day on the beach. We spent nearly every evening eating dinner at the spacious dinner table outside, forgoing restaurants since the atmosphere at the house was so lovely. We had 8 adults and 3 children (6, 2 and 1). The house and property were large enough and accommodated us perfectly. Extra cribs, beds and towels were provided for the kids. The house itself was very kid friendly. Access to the pool is via one set of wide, wooden stairs, which made watching the kids and preventing access to the pool quite easy. They also loved the outdoor shower and running around in the large backyard. The pool had a great shallow end for the kids to enjoy, and a very deep-end for the adults. Beautiful shrubbery around the pool and backyard made the area private. The owner was extremely easy to contact, responsive to all questions, and very accommodating. The rental management company also provided good service. We had no problems staying within the pre-paid electricity allotment - we did laundry nearly every day, and used the air conditioners every night and in one room for the kids' naps during the day. We do recommend renting a car to see all of the island's beaches, especially little and big Knip. Cas abou beach was another favorite. That said, Jan Thiel is a great, safe upscale neighborhood with restaurants, stores and a spa within walking distance. One note - a few reviewers recommended heavy and varied mosquito protection. We definitely agree, especially with kids. We'd also also recommend covering up all fruit on the kitchen counter - we had a few birds fly through the many windows for a snack in the kitchen. :)

We had a family reunion in this Vila and it was wonderful. The house is located very close to the beach, just a short walk distance. The pool was perfect for those days that were a little too hot. First thing that my nephew wanted to do at the beginning of the day. We use the air conditioning ever night and out grand moms used it sometimes during the day to cool off and we didn't have any electricity over charges. The fans were on as well most of the day. Only recommendation take a lot of mosquito protection or they will eat you alive. The owner was very helpful and the manager of the place too. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. Hope we can visit again soon.

We went the first week of July, 2014 with my family. First, the owner was amazing to work with and always responded quickly to the emails. She answered all questions and was great to work with. The property manager was great. He was at the airport to meet us and took us to the home, showed us around and acquainted us to the home. The home was very large, very clean, well furnished. The back yard and the pool was breathtaking. We enjoyed every minute of this back yard. The bedrooms were air conditioned. The other parts of the home would get hot at times during the day, but you are in the Caribbean and you enjoyed the beaches and the pool. The mosquitos would sometime be annoying, just take some spray. There were restaurants, shopping, grocery store, and a beach near the home. We also rented the car from the owner and it worked out wonderful for our family. We had an issue with the air condition in the master bedroom one night and contacted the manager the next day and he had someone out to fix. We were able to use one of the other bedrooms. It was no problem. He was there to pick us up and take us to the airport as planned. He was great!! I would highly recommend this home. We always felt safe and had a blast. The home was as described and it was absolutely wonderful.

We were a group of 8 family/friends. The villa and grounds were very beautiful and spacious. It is not as close to the beach as indicated, but a nice walk. There is a wonderful pool which we used often. Everything else was as stated. The property manager was very helpful and available for anything you may have needed. Do make sure you bring or get bug spray as little mosquitos are plentiful. Pictures are exactly as the place looks. Really enjoyed our stay!
