We stayed at Puteri Luxury for a week in January 2014 and had a fantastic time. Booking the villa was very easy, the responses were quick and professional. They management company suggested that we hired their driver and car for a few days, a chef, masseuse etc. We were collected at the airport by Candy, the driver that we had hired via the villa. The car was a large 4x4 with air conditioning, and was very comfortable. Candy was friendly, accommodating and happy to help in any way that he could. His English was quite basic but he tried hard to make himself understood. His driving was very safe and careful as he navigated around the millions of mopeds and general craziness that is the Balinese roads! The villa is located about 5-10 minutes’ drive from Seminyak and located off a little side street next to a paddy field. It’s about 40 minutes from the airport. The villa is totally enclosed and private. We were blown away by the villa and how lovely it was. Everything was spotlessly clean and generally just very pleasant. The pool was lovely, as were all of the bedrooms. My only minor criticism was that the air conditioning system leaked in the main bedroom, causing some damage to the wall and the wooden floor. But I’m sure that the management can easily get this fixed. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The villa was cleaned every day. We hired a chef for 2 nights, she was lovely and made so much food that we had it for lunch the next day. You can choose from a menu, all the food we tried was very tasty, she even gets the ingredients and washes up for you! We also had a massage nearly every day, the 2 women how came were very professional. They didn’t speak much English but too be honest we found that this doesn’t matter very much. Candy drove us around the island and showed us all the best places to see including the monkey temple, paddy field view, coffee and chocolate plantation, Ubud, the beach and also various other stunning temples. This is definitely the easiest way to see Bali and I highly recommend doing this, it’s also very reasonably priced! When we didn’t have Candy driving us, the staff ordered us a taxi into Seminyak which was very cheap. Make sure that you get a business card from the staff, which has the address and a map on the back for the way home as some taxi drivers have no idea where it is! All in all, we had a great time at the Villa Puteri. We would definitely go back and take our friends with us.
