Stayed with my cousin for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed both the villa and its great location which was close to everything that you need but also was private and tranquil so you could escape the hustle and bustle of Seminyak if you needed some chill time!. The villa itself is well presented, very clean, and the two large bedrooms have great en-suites with decent showers. The air conditioning seems to be more than capable of keeping the rooms at a comfortable temperature for sleeping and when you want to escape the heat and humidity. Yes you might get the odd mozzi bite, but for goodness sake what do you expect, this is the tropics!. Of course the other way to escape that is to jump in the beautiful pool which is a perfect size for a private villa. The water was not too chilled, as I have experienced at other locations where the pool is shaded all day, but rather a perfect temperature that made it easy to jump in and cool off many times a day. Families with really young kids would need to watch them as with all villas there are no pool fence requirements as in Aus, but young kids who can swim will love the pool. There is a large screen TV in the room above the kitchen/living area (which has yet another huge en-suite), but who wants to use a TV when there is so much to see and do! (unless you need to let the kids chill out with a DVD whilst adults get some time for themselves downstairs by the pool). So the villa location is a little bit up from the top of Seminyak in Petitenget, but still only a few minutes in a taxi down to 'Eat Street' or all the shops in Seminyak Road (remember to tell the taxi driver to put the meter on as soon as you get in the cab, this way its only ever a couple of dollars to anywhere local and you can't get ripped off!). Some of the restaurants nearby are just unbelievable quality for the price, Sarong being the perfect example. There are also lots of cool hang outs that are a must see, such as Potato Head, which is a massive bar (with a restaurant as well I think) right on the beach. The villa provides a security guard at night which is a nice touch, but we never felt worried about that. The rooms have safes which is useful and the villa doors and locks, plus high walls, all seemed significant enough to keep any opportunistic looser at bay. Overall the cost is excellent value, particularly if there are a few traveling, given what a couple of hotel rooms will cost! The villa staff replace bottle water each day in the bathrooms (for teeth cleaning) and the fridge serves up chilled bottled water as well, which means the chance of Bali-belly is totally reduced (but also stick to the decent restaurants, which is easy as there re so many close by!). The villa staff also provide daily breakfast (although again lots of great local places) and milk, tea, coffee, plus there was a complimentary airport pick up. Having been previously to Bali with my wife and two young girls when we stayed at different place also in Seminyak (for a lot lot more money), I will most definitely consider coming back with them and staying at this villa instead next time.

My advice to travelers wishing to visit Seminyak: Find a great villa/hotel and don't bother leaving (unless you get hungry and need to eat, in which case, there are plenty of good restaurants). This villa is everything you need whilst visiting Seminyak. It is close to some great restaurants (Sarong etc) and is just off the main drag. There is also a convenience store at the end of the laneway so you can stock up on drinks/snacks to keep you going throughout the day. Our maid was wonderful and will look after you. Can't really ask for much more. The quality of the fit-out was high-end and the pool was always in pristine condition. Big thumbs up!!

Travelling with 2 teenagers and having 3 bathrooms was perfect. The beds were so comfortable and the upstairs balcony for breakfast was superb. Having 4 outdoor chairs and umbrella was great for relaxing after swimming in the pool. Our housekeeper was lovely and nothing too hard - she booked dinner, organised massages and water sports and did our washing. Having a security guard each night was peace of mind. Would recommend this villa to everyone!
